NEVER AGREE WITH THAT WHICH IS WRONG

KEY SCRIPTURE: 2 Samuel 4:10 When one told me, saying, Behold, Saul is dead, thinking to have brought good tidings, I took hold of him, and slew him in Ziklag, who thought that I would have given him a reward for his tidings:

Two gentlemen who were captains for Ishbosheth went into his chamber one afternoon and killed him. (2nd Sam.4:7& 8) They cut off his head and brought it to David, thinking King David would praise them for their effort.

King David never condoned wickedness. He asked his young men to slay these two men (2 Samuel 4:11-12)

All these deaths were God’s judgement on the household of Saul. They happened so the throne of David could be fully established without any resistance. The life of David teaches us something amazing. He never rejoiced over the death of any of the family members of Saul. David kept a clean heart devoid of bitterness. He allowed God to do what He, the Lord, would do, yet he (David) never gave room for bitterness. Dear child of God, your kind-heartedness towards your enemies would not stop God’s judgement and punishment for them if they don’t repent. Bitterness always places you cheaply in the hands of the enemy. Hebrews 12:15 reads “Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you and thereby many be defiled”

Bitterness in your heart will cause you to fail of the grace of God. This implies being devoid of supernatural assistance and provision. The man who expresses true love and kindness towards all men, even when he has been wrongly treated, always receives grace or divine supply to continue excelling.

Success in life is not necessarily having your way all the time, but playing it according to the right rules 2 Tim 2:5 KJV” And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.” God, the judge of all men, has rules of engagement in this life. Although the house of Saul stood vehemently against David, he would not support mischievousness of any kind. He had a clean heart towards God. Such an attitude always attracts lots of goodwill from God, as well as men, for you always reap what you sow. Remember the principle of giving and receiving as narrated by the master Jesus, in Luke 6:38″ Give and it shall be given unto you, good measure, pressed down shakened together, and running over shall men give into your blossom “Jesus the Lord taught that, you always receive a multiplied measure of what you give. David gave true love, fairness, and loyalty. This was multiplied to him in his lifetime. He was never killed by any close associate. If David had not lived by this principle, Absalom would have killed and dethroned him when his actions allowed the sword of judgement into his house.

MAINTAIN THIS PRINCIPLE FOR LIFE, i.e., I WOULD NEVER AGREE WITH THAT WHICH IS WRONG

PRAYER

Lord, I receive grace to act rightly all the time. I refuse to allow human advantage to incite me to choose the wrong way, in Jesus’ name.
