WHEN YOU OVERCOME

KEY SCRIPTURE: 2Sa 5:1 KJV” Then came all the tribes of Israel to David unto Hebron, and spake, saying, Behold, we are thy bone and thy flesh.”

In life, our Father God permits various situations to test us for promotion, rewards, and total completeness. James 1:4 KJV “But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” Whereas God seeks our completeness, Satan comes to resist you, destroy, and prevent the will of God from coming to pass in your life. Well may we note that God does not use sicknesses to try us, just as He would not use sin to try us. These things oppose His word and will in our lives. The Lord called sickness the oppression of the devil, and so He was anointed to set men free from it (Acts 10:38)

Setting these things aside, our father expects us to overcome every trial that comes our way. There is always a moment of glory and honour when we have faithfully endured all the trials. When David overcame all the challenges that came his way, all the elders of the tribes of Israel came to him to crown him as King over the whole of Israel. Anything during the time of his trial could have made him give up. The pursuit of King Saul was so relentless to the point that he felt he could die at the hands of Saul.

Dear one, it is time for you to stand your ground to overcome. You are a born winner, 1 John 5:4 KJV For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Winning is your inheritance, for Jesus our master is a winner, and we live in His name. We share in His present states as He has overcome. There is an adequate provision for us to overcome. Our victory comes as we act on His word in absolute confidence. He has already assured us of His presence with us through water, fire and all dangers. He says these things would never overwhelm us. Isaiah 43:2

Let’s consider some of the things the Lord says about the one who would overcome.

Rev 2:7 KJV” He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.”

Rev 2:11 KJV” He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.”

Rev 2:26 KJV And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
