Praising God in troubled times 2

KEY SCRIPTURE:1Th 5:18 KJV” In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

Christianity is a life of rest. It is a walk with the creator of the Universe. It is an expression of the supreme Lord of all things, even our Lord Jesus, through us. It must be full of joy always. Phi 4:4 KJV Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.” Joy is always a function of praise. It is when the greatness and goodness of God excites us to the point that we burst out in singing to tell Him how great, how powerful and all the amazing things about Him. Thanksgiving is a part or function of praise. It is expressing an appreciation for what He has done. Why must we praise Him? We must praise Him because He commands us to do so. Psa 98:4 KJV “Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.”

Secondly, because God says praise is beautiful in His sight. Psa 147:1 KJV” Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.” The scripture says it is a good thing to praise Him. It is also comely or very beautiful in God’s sight.
We praise God in troubled times because He is always with us. Which means no evil can befall us or conquer us. Isa 43:2 KJV “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” His presence means we are above the waters, although everything may look like we are being overwhelmed.

When Peter was walking on the water to meet Jesus, it looked like he would drown, yet he walked on the water. He rather started drawing when He turned his eyes from the Lord. Praising the Lord in troubled times means your focus is not on the difficulty, trouble or the challenge. SO long as you praise Him, you are sailing above the trouble. What helps us to effectively praise God in times when we seem to be threatened? It is the knowledge of God’s word in our hearts and our submission to it. This is all that faith is about: submitting to the word and doing what it says. Says. says.No. No problem has really beaten us down until we accept it is over. Continually feed your heart with the word of God and always accept what God says. Praise is a practical expression of the word we have believed
Praise is always faith in action.
