KEY SCRIPTURE:1Ti 1:18 KJV “This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that ththem mightest war a good warfare;”
In our previous study we considered the fact that we always have a role to play in bringing to pass what God has said to us in prophecy.I believe some of us readers may be asking, since I do not have any direct word of prophecy how does this message apply to me? Dear one every scripture is God’s word and any one of them that applies specifically to your case becomes a word of prophecy to you.Anytime you hear the word of God and you decide to act on it, it becomes a word of rhema, that is God’s word specifically to you for a particular assignment. You also can have a word of prophecy for your life as you accept the word and decide to act on it.Isaiah 55:3 says” Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.” In this scripture the Holy Spirit says as you incline your ear, and you really hear what is said, the Lord would also enter into an everlasting covenant with you.He calls that covenant the sure mercies of David.Beloved you do not have to go around searching for a prophet to prophecy over you before you can know you have a word from God.The word you receive from God’s written word is also a word of prophecy.
Now since you have such a word from God you must make a good warfare to establish that word into your life.Let’s consider Jesus statement to Peter and also to the church as a whole, in Matt 16:18″ And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” This statement goes for all Christians, especially church workers, including pastors and church leaders, It is a word of assurance that he would build His church and the gates of hell would not prevail against it.In case your particular congregation is under a demonic attack you go to this verse in prayer declaring that this is what God has said, and for that matter nothing can wreck or dismantle it.You consistently use this verse to pray and add fasting if necessary. The devil knows he can not prevail against the church but would attack any way hoping the Christians may give in and he would triumph and make havoc.
Dear child of God, never relent in resisting him.Satan is eternally established to be a failure. No matter how hard he strikes, never give in to his schemes.
Psalm 125:3 reads, ” For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.” The Lord says to every child of God under satanic assault that God has never sanctioned such a thing.( the rod is an instrument for punishment)Stand on this scripture and resist the devil till he leaves you alone.1Pe 5:9 KJV “Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” The word says conclusively, and this is eternally established in heaven( Ps 110:89) that no devil should have the right to torment a child of God.Note this ,;one may be legally tormented if he breaks God’s word and lives in sin. This is the only grounds that the devil could punish a child of God.
The moment this person repents and turns from that path of sin no devil should have the right to perpetuate that illegal activity in the life of the Christian.Dear child of God , if you find yourself in such a situation stand on this scripture and a whole lot of other verses like, Lk 10:19, Isaiah 54:17, Isa 43:2,3 and many more.Make a good warfare and free yourself from any illegal oppression of the wicked one.
THOUGHT: IF YOU RESIST THE DEVIL ENOUGH , HE WOULD FLEE FROM YOU
