We are all ministers of the gospel. 2

KEY SCRIPTURE:1Timothy 2:7 KJV” Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.”

In our previous study, we concluded that every one of us has been called to be witnesses of the good news or gospel. Which people am I talking about? Everyone who has been born from above is called to save those who are lost in their sins. We are called saviours. Oba 1:21 KJV” And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD’S.” We are called saviours. This is an amazing description of who we are. To be called saviours means that so much has been invested in us. Let’s consider a very important truth about us 2Co 3:6 KJV” Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.”To be made able means to be made qualified to do a particular task. The task on our hands now is to bring men and women out of darkness into the glorious light of our Lord Jesus.

What are the provisions that make us qualified?. When a man is born into Christ, he is transfigured from an ordinary man into the very status of Jesus. He receives power or the ability to become a son of God. ( John 1:12) Please note this statement well. It says you received power to become a son of God. A son of man means one of the human kind or one born by man. A son of God means one of the God kind. That also means one born by God. And that is what the scripture says. Joh 1:13 KJV “Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

To be a son of God means you have the ability to minister the Spirit. This means to give out of the Spirit and also give out the Spirit because your very nature is of the Spirit.. 2Co 3:8 KJV” How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?” We are ministers of the spirit, and we are described as flames of fire. Heb 1:7 KJV” And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.”

The biggest setback of the church is a misconception of who we are. The Lord knew who he was, so he acted and spoke in that light. Apostles Peter and Paul knew they had become partakers of the divine nature( 2 Peter 1:4) and so had the ability to minister the supernatural power of God. Peter said to the lame man at the beautiful gate,” As I have given I to thee, in the name of Jesus, rise and walk( Acts 3:1-8). At Lystra(Acts 14:8-11), Apostle Paul said to the man lame on his feet from birth, ‘Rise up and walk’.The man stood up whole.

Some years ago, I visited an elderly woman( a family relation) at Kwarbeng in the Eastern region of Ghana. She complained so much about her health and said she has a short time to leave this earth. She was over seventy years old (70 years) at that time. I said to her Mama, you are not going anywhere now
I give you 15 years extra. As I write, it has been over 13 years, and she is still alive. Please, this does not make any of the names mentioned above any special than you. It is a matter of knowing who you are and acting accordingly. It is with this understanding that we have to reach out to set men free from Satan’s grip.

THOUGHT: OUR SALVATION MAKES US QUALIFIED TO SAVE OTHERS
