KEY  SCRIPTURE:2Ti 1:3 KJV “I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day.”

Apostle Paul states he’s been serving the Lord since the days of his forefathers. His assertion simply means   the forefathers served then, and he is likewise doing the same now . He says he serves the Lord with a   sincere conscience . This is one important requirement that every child of God must do. God seeks such worshippers. Joh 4:23 KJV But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.”

Apostle Paul  says he daily prays for Timothy without ceasing. The letter to Timothy is all about following up on one you brought up in the Lord. Paul could have said Timothy is no longer a convert but a growing Christian. Yet he kept teaching and instructing him in the proper ways of pastoral duties.

This should inform us of our responsibilities to those  we bring up in Christ. Act 14:22 KJV Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.” The work of following up on converts or growing Christians must be stirred up once again

Intercession is one aspect of follow-up that is very powerful. Intercession brings the   Holy Spirit into the life and the reality of the person being prayed for.No body is above the prayers of others. Prayer must  continue to be offered for them.

Pray that they would know Jesus in reality. Pray that they be filled with the knowledge of God and that they would live by His will. As you keep in touch with that person and keep praying for him, he will never fall away. Remember that one of your greatest achievements in this life is to see your conversion in the presence of our Lord Jesus in glory. Phi 2:16 KJV” Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.” If your convert falls away into sin and does not make it  to heaven, then you have laboured in vain.

THOUGHT: LABOUR TO SEE YOUR CONVERTS STANDING TO THE END
