KEY SCRIPTURE:2Ti 2:9 KJV” Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.”

Apostle Paul reveals in our key scripture that for the sake of preaching the gospel, he is suffering as an evil doer to the point of being imprisoned. He then added that the word of God cannot be bound. This is a very important statement. It means for the word of God to keep moving, there is both human and divine responsibility to keep  the gospel  boundless.

The human responsibility to keep the gospel boundless is to fearlessly propagate it. This could happen in places where men persecute the spread of the gospel. Even in times of persecution, brethren resolve never to stop preaching.

In Acts 4 ,when the elders had threatened Peter and John not to preach in Jesus name. They answered them as follows:Act 4:19 KJV “But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.” Their resolve to please God made them stand even in the face of persecution.

This  keeps the gospel or the word moving. In Acts chapter 5, Peter and John were arrested and kept in a place called the common prison, but the angel of the Lord appeared to them and released them to go preach the gospel. Acts 5:19-20.The word of God can never be stopped. So long as the children of God would not be afraid of the threat of persecution, the gospel is not a human message; it is divine, and no man or condition can stop it.

The other aspect of a continual spread of the gospel in areas where there are iron bars  to limit the spread of the gospel is the Holy Spirit appearing as Jesus Christ shows Himself to people in dreams or physical appearances to win them unto Himself . In places like Iran, Saudi Arabia, North Korea , and in Areas where there is strict opposition to the spread of the gospel, the Lord appears to most of them in dreams and visions  . God does some of these things among Muslims because they have been deceived into believing that the bible we have is corrupted. Most of them would not accept any preaching from the bible. In the light of this, the Lord Jesus himself appears to a number of them to call them unto himself.

I once watched an Islamic telecast on Metro TV. I prayed to the Lord to reveal Himself to this Muslim preacher. I asked the Lord to send him to me after He had saved him. After a couple of years, a man came to our church on a Sunday morning, and the Lord Jesus revealed our church to him to come fellowship with us. He also explained that he used to hold an Islamic program on Metro TV, but the Lord Jesus appeared to him and saved his soul from eternal destruction. He showed me pictures of his time as an Islamic preacher.

I realised that he was the Muslim preacher I prayed for on Metro TV.His name then was Sheikh Ibrahim Oyom, but now he is called Evangelist Abraham Oyom. This man would never have accepted any form of preaching, because to him the bible is corrupted. Jesus saved him, and Jesus is still saving many of them who have been deceived about the bible. The truth is that the word of God can not be bound. Humans lie  about the Bible; they can smear it wrongly, nor can the persecution of the preachers of the word stop it.

There are certain preachers who are only seeking what to satisfy their belly( Phil 3:18-19). Their actions create questions about the message of the bible,yet that can not hinder the truth of the word of God.

THOUGHT: THE GOSPEL IS DIVINE, AND NOTHING CAN STOP IT.
