The futility of opposing the truth 2

KEY SCRIPTURE:2Ti 3:9 KJV “But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.”

The bible is filled with stories of how various persons related with God.it shows the outcome of each person depending on how they related with God.People who totally dedicated their lives to honour him were greatly blessed. The following verse shows us how God treated those  who lived rightly  with Him.2Ch 16:9 KJV “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him……………”.” God surely shows His power to all those who sincerely serve him wholeheartedly.

Now how does he relate to those who despitefully treat Him.1Sa 2:30 KJV” Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.”Anyone who refuses to submit to Him is definitely  acting proudly. Jas 4:6 KJV “But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.” Those who oppose God have chosen a path of shame and reproach. It was during the era of those kings who went into idolatry  and other abominable things that God allowed  the whole nation to go into exile.

Dear reader, God’s words are not just statements of advice but divine laws that have serious consequences if disobeyed. They also bring great blessings and promotion if honoured. These things are summarised  in the following verses. Romans 2:7-9 says it clearly. Rom 2:7-9 KJV To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey  unrighteousness,  indicgnation and wrath  Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,”

These words are very clear. Which path would you take? Moses, before he died, said to the Jews, ‘I set before you, life and death, choose life. Deut 30:15-19

THOUGHT:LIFE EXPERIENCES HAVE TAUGHT US THAT TO CHOOSE GOD IS TO CHOOSE LIFE
