KEY SCRIPTURE: 2Ti 3:16 KJV “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”

To say the scripture is profitable means it is advantageous, helpful,  and beneficial. There is nothing negative about the scriptures. Some have tried in every means possible to find all faults, errors, and even to say it is from human work, with the intention to enslave a particular race. They see Africans as such a target. This is most unfortunate and sad since the very civilisation of Europe evolved from the application of the bible. The foundation of most legal books is, for the most part, biblically influenced.

The Gutenberg Bible is credited with being the first printed substantial book.

The bible is indeed very profitable on all fronts. The United States of America was established by biblical truths. This is what has caused it to become a world superpower. When certain individuals tried to attack the dominance of the word of God in the socio-political life and called for the removal of the scriptures from public school, the hospitality industry, like hotels and what have you, has resulted in this grave downward turn ,affecting the social life of such a beautiful nation. There is no week that gun violence is not reported somewhere in the United States. This has made living in certain states in the US very dangerous. If you take out the scriptures, society is left without any protection.

The scriptures have transformed whole communities from a life of violence and lust to a people of very sober behaviour. In the years 1904 and 1905, the word of God preached by Evans Roberts in  Welsh caused the conversion of over 100000 people, resulting in the emptying of prison cells because these people were transformed by the word of God.
Through the preaching of the word .

Scores of people have been instantly healed from medically incurable conditions. Raving lunatics are completely made whole just by listening to the preaching of the word.

A muslim man carrying a child found himself behind a sports stadium which was hosting a gospel crusade. There were strong sound systems that sent the preaching far outside the inner perimeter. This child was healed while the man carried him. He asked to be let down, but the man refused . The child bit him, and he let him down, and to his amazement, this child walked by himself. The scriptures are indeed very profitable.

THOUGHT: GOD IS THE AUTHOR OF THE SCRIPTURES, AND THAT ACCOUNTS FOR ITS PROFITABILITY.
