THE SCRIPTURE IS FOR DOCTRINE

KEY SCRIPTURE: 2Ti 3:16 KJV “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”

We may have to understand what a doctrine is. A doctrine is a codification or stating of beliefs, principles, or teachings adopted by a group—such as a religion, government, or organization—that are considered true and authoritative. It provides a framework for understanding and acting, commonly seen in religious tenets, political ideologies, or official government policies. The scripture gives us God’s thoughts principles that inform students of the word what the Lord would want His people to know about various  topics.

Doctrines offer very fundamental beliefs of the Christian faith. It is very good to know these doctrines so that other doctrines that are contrary can be easily known and avoided. There are Christian sects who claim to use the same bible but with very divergent teachings. Please note that salvation is not about believing whatever is taught from the scriptures, but that which adheres to sound  doctrines which were believed and taught by the apostles and the early church.

The early church after the apostles had passed on certain doctrines which was not acceptable to the general  church body was being taught by some. An example is the doctrine taught by Arius. He taught that our Lord Jesus was a created being, not co equal to the Father. The church body refuted that and  established the Nicene creed. These were believes clearly taught by the scripture and were stipulated in the creed.

Dear one it really matters what you believe. Many are bound and tormented by the enemy because they have not been taught about the doctrine of the authority of the believer. Some Christians have a hard time living victiriously over sin and sicknesses because they do not know of their victory over sin and sicknesses. There are many still fighting demons because  they do not know that the fight of the Christian is the fight of faith. Proper doctrine liberates and places the child of God in his true place of triumph.

THOUGHT: PROPER DOCTRINE LIBERATES PROPERLY.
