KEY SCRIPTURE: Hebrews 9:17 “For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth”.
A testator is one who disposes off his belongings through a covenant or a will. It is the one who makes a testament. Our Lord Jesus has left us a will, or a covenant, and better still a testament. The whole Bible is the will, covenant or testament that has been be quitted to us.
The terms of the testament comes into force after the death of the testator. Hebrews 9:16 “For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator”.
Our Lord Jesus who is the testator of both testaments has died, and He is alive to enforce the terms of these testament. Note: the Old Testament was not ratified with His blood, yet He is Lord of both testament.
All believers must therefore be very bold in their prayers based on the provisions of the will, which is the bible. The strength backing the fulfillment of the request is very high, and can’t be denied, based on the following.
- The promise is a covenant. A covenant is an agreement or a pledge between two parties and is binding on both parties to fulfill their part of the pledge. God cannot deny Himself by failing to fulfill His part of the covenant. It is not in His nature to change (Malachi 3:6)
- The maker of that covenant or testament is alive, to enforce its fulfillment.
Human experience have encountered certain wills not fully executed to the letter, because the maker of the will is not there. This is not so with our master. He is alive to enforce the will He made i.e. the bible
When you pray on the bases of the word of God, be fully assured of its fulfilment.
Thank you heavenly Father for Jesus Christ, who established the will, and died, but resurrected to enforce the fulfillment of the will. I always receive answers to my requests based on the word
Hebrews 9:15 ” And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance”.
1 Timothy 2:5 “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”.
