KEY SCRIPTURE: Romans 5:1 “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ”:
We continue with our discussions on reigning in life. We would now consider another aspect of receiving the gift of righteousness of God that gives us access to possess the blessings of God. This enables us to reign in this life.
Our key scripture informs us that “therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ”. In our earlier discussion we said that when we made Jesus Lord over our lives, we were made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2nd Corinth.5:21). This is a divine exchange. From our opening scripture, it reveals also that whenever we believe the word we are justified or made righteous. This is a momentary righteousness conferred on any man who has faith in the word of God.
Genesis 15:6 reads “And Abram believed in the Lord, and He counted him for righteousness”. This gave him access to every blessing contained in the promise.
Apostle Paul writing under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit said in Romans 10:10 that “For with the heart man believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”. Once again the Spirit is revealing that anytime we believe the word spoken to us, we are justified or made righteous. It is God’s way of saying, by believing my words you are faultless. There is no iota of sin or barrier to hinder you from partaking of the blessings.
Dear child of God, God places a very high premium on believing his word (John 6:28,29). So long as you believe you are totally acquitted of every error, and therefore, you are ready to take what belongs to you. The next step that delivers the answer into your hands is to declare with your mouth what you have believed. This is very vital. (Romans 10:10 2nd Corinthians 4:13).No matter how impossible the situation may seem, always believe in the Lord and what He says.
CONFESSION
My faith in God always justifies me or makes me righteous before God. I believe every word from the mouth of God. I reign by possessing every promise given to me.
