KEY SCRIPTURE :1Timothy 6:12 KJV “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.”

God our Father expects us to take possession of every inheritance given to us. When the Israelite failed to drive out the inhabitants of the lands God gave them, He was not pleased with them. Judge 2:2 KJV” And ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall throw down their altars: but ye have not obeyed my voice: why have ye done this? “The Lord says any inheritance they failed to possess was an act of disobedience. Unbelief is the cause of lack of annexing one’s inheritance. In the mind of our Father God, every inheritance left us is ours and must be possessed. You can overcome every weakness. Peace of mind is yours, so possess it. Victory over demons is yours so possess it. Healing for your body is yours, so possess it.

 IF God has promised or pronounced any promise as yours, then, never accept any negative results as coming from God. You must stand to prevail. You must fight on till you win. Any failure does not come from God. Faith cannot fail. Faith takes a hold of the answer and brings it into reality. In the face of contrary situations never say you hope things will get better. This is a wrong way to fight the fight of faith. You rather say boldly, that the word of God has prevailed. Believe the word in your heart and say boldly what God’s word says.

The word is the sword of the Spirit which you use to fight. Eph 6:17 KJV” And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God”: The more you say what God’s word says, the more you prevail over the enemy. Until you say what God has said nothing happens. When the devil tempted the master, the only way to overcome him was to keep repeating, it is written, then added what the word says. In such moments you must stop looking at the bad situation and rather look at what the word says. Remember it is your inheritance, and not something you are trying to get. It is Satan and his devils who want to rob you off what has been given to you. Don’t allow them.

CONFESSION

God’s word is ever in my mouth and in my heart. Every opposition is stopped and I walk in my inheritance. I win always because I live for God who is the ultimate receiver of every honor.

The Lord after delivering the Jews from the dominance of Egypt and Pharaoh gave the land of Canaan to them as their inheritance. These lands were inhabited by certain people, and they had to possess these lands by fighting and taking over. Our inheritance includes all that our Lord Jesus Christ through His death, obtained for us.

The following are just but a few of what the Lord Jesus through His death, obtained for us. They include:

Eternal life for us (John 3:16)

Forgiveness of sins (Eph 1:7)

Healing for our bodies (Isaiah 53:4&5)

Peace of mind (Isaiah 53:5)

Authority over devils (Matt 28:18)

Holiness of life (Rom 6:14)

The authority of the name of Jesus (Mark 16:15)

And many more.

 Just as the Jews had to fight to possess their inheritance, we must also fight to possess our inheritance. Now notice this, our battle is not against demons: our battle is called, the fight of faith. The word of God did say, we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual entities. The goal of these forces is to dethrone your faith in the word of God, so they could properly deal with you.  So long as your faith in God and His word is firm, NO ENEMY CAN PUT YOU DOWN. Mark 9:23 KJV “Jesus said unto him, if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth”.

YOUR fight to possess your inheritance is the fight of faith, as stated in our key scripture (1st Tim 6:12). The fight of faith is the ability to hold on to what God has said, irrespective of what may be happening physically. In the midst of any crises or pursuit to take your inheritance, for example your health. Your focus must be your confidence in all that God has said about your healing, and simultaneously refusing to consider the symptoms. The devil may worsen the symptoms, but don’t look and consider them, they are false vanities. Jonah 2:8 KJV” They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy “. Your mercy is the healing God has provided already, yet if you worry, consider the symptoms, which the Bible calls lying vanities you can’t possess that inheritance which is legally yours.

Get these facts. 1 The devil and his demons are not the problem.

2.The difficulty, challenge or the trouble is also not the problem.

3.The real issue is to maintain your faith in God in the midst of all contrary evidences.

CONFESSION

The Lord Jesus conquered and gave me the victory. I possess every blessing or heritage he has already won. I refuse to consider any contrary evidence, and rather praise the Lord for my inheritance.

KEY SCRIPTURE: 2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV “(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)”

Now we bring our discussion of the supremacy of the word of God home, or we make it more personal. To acknowledge the supremacy of the word is to walk by faith and not by sight. Life is spiritual, and the earlier we accept that the better. God our Father is the great unseen reality. His influence is over and within every aspect of life. His word communicates how He relates with various issues of life. The man who submits to whatever God says about various issues has placed his or her life under His supremacy. This is what living by faith is all about. Jas 4:7 KJV Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

The positive relationship between His words and your actions is submission. Submission involves making your will to bow to God and His word. Your ego and appetites are the first point of call which must be submitted to God. Col 3:5 KJV “Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:” To mortify means to kill. The scripture says, kill your ego and appetite that does not glorify God

 Any man who has been successful in controlling his appetites by the word can trust the word of God in every other area of life. The word of God becomes his motivation and control in all that he does. If the Lord says I am with you, he unconsciously relates with all situations that the Lord is present with him. When sickness comes, he knows the divine life of God in him cannot be overpowered by that disease, so he thanks God for divine health. If he is in debt he does not fear, but quietly in his heart, he declared the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. This man has learnt to make the word Supreme in all matters of life.

CONFESSION

I am submitted to God and His word. Because I fear Him, I have no fear for any other thing. I trust Him with my life, my future, my finance and everything. My life is secured by His word and power. My ways keep getting brighter and brighter. I am a success

Hebrews 10:9 KJV” Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second”.

John 20:29 KJV “Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.”

KEY SCRIPTURE: Job 23:12 KJV” Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.”

The Bible is filled with examples of men and women who counted the word of God very Supreme than every other thing. Every one of these men had a very glorious end. The Lord said, “those who honor me I will honor” 1st Samuel 1:30. Job who was gravely tried said he had not gone away from the words from God’s mouth. He could have easily turned away from God and brooded over his pains and loses. He said I have esteemed his words more than my necessary food. God honored his actions with a great deliverance. Job 42:12 KJV “So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning….”

Another man who did. not fear for his life but esteemed the word of God more Supreme was Daniel.  The Presidents’, governors and counselors convinced the king to sign a decree that anyone who prays to any God for the next 30 days would be thrown into the lion’s den.  Daniel knew of this decree, yet he prayed three times a day, with his windows opened towards Jerusalem.   He was accused and put into the lion’s den. God saved him and exalted him. Dan 6:28 KJV “So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian”. God honors those who honor Him

My last example is about Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa. He was a man who highly exalted the word of God. He once told of an experience he had. He said, he traveled to a city to preach the gospel. Some moments after sleeping in his hotel, he heard shouts of fire, fire, I am burning. He wondered who was in his room screaming that way. He later found out that a lady, hiding in the walldrope was burnt all over. Nothing in the walldrope was burnt. This woman was set up by some journalists, to jump unto the man of God whiles in bed. Cameras had been placed in the room to snap everything. They were doing this to tarnish the reputation of this man of God.  The Lord vindicated his servant. God would fight for all those who esteem His word so highly.

KEY SCRIPTURE: Hebrews 4:12 KJV. for the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

 God’s word is supreme and stands tall and mightier than any condition, personality or future state that we may face. Our key scripture says, the word of God is alive. It is therefore a living being. It is powerful and sharper than any double-edged sword. This word “sharper” has the meaning in the Greek as having only one stroke to get any object or condition to succumb. No weapon, medicine or device could be compared to it.

 The key scripture reveals that, the word of God, pierces to the division of the soul and spirit of a man. This reveals that God’s word is primarily to correct every wrong thing about man. It deals with the spiritual and soulish matters. It also gets into the joints and marrow, which relates to our physical body and the very depths of it. The condition of the heart is also not left out. God’s word, the Bible, is the only book that answers every detail about man.

Verse 13, of Hebrews chapter four says no creature is hidden from His sight. All things are open and naked before the word. The word ‘open’ is the Greek word “trachelizo” which means to seize the neck of a victim and bend it open. This is exactly what the word does to any condition it is applied to. It also added that all creatures, including all conditions are naked before it. There is nothing mysterious about any condition, or state that God’s word is applied to. Every problem, no matter how complex or difficult it may be, is naked and helpless, so long as one applies the word in faith.

Dear child of God, God’s word is superior and practically supreme in every matter we may face. Trust the word, confess the word, practice the word, but never be afraid of any opposition in life that rises against you. Meditate on these things to the point that your heart is fixed trusting in the Lord.

CONFESSION

The word of God is Supreme. I am very safe trusting the word of God. I allow the word to always work in and through me. Every situation is subjected to the word working through me. My life is a blessing to many and lam blessed in every way.

KEY SCRIPTURE: John 1:1 KJV” In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

 The above scripture, ends with the phrase ‘ and the word was God’ . God and His word are one. God would always honor His word, because failure to do so means denying Himself. He says in Matt 24:35 that,” Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” Every word of God would be fulfilled in its time. This physical world which includes the earth and the visible heaven, that is the atmospheric heaven above us does not impact on the word in any way. The word is higher and above this visible word.

In the word is life, and this life is the light of men. (John 1:4) This is why the path of the man who walks in the word shines brighter and brighter unto the perfect day. (Proverbs 4:18) Light reigns in this world. The word is light. The entrance of the word brings light, and it brings understanding to the simple (Psalm 119:130) The sure guarantee for the fulfillment of the word of God in the life of the believer is based on two unchanging things. (Heb 6:17 & 18) These two unchanging things are

1 God gave His promise by swearing to honour His word (An Oath)

2 God cannot lie (God’s nature) (Heb 6:18):

Anyone who has diligently followed the word of God has seen a tremendous improvement in His life. The word is the answer to all moral issues. Our societies are fast breaking down with violence, drugs and all forms of illicit sexual activities.

The only answer to these challenges is the word of God. Peace has eluded mankind and the word of God is the only answer. Faith in the word has brought healing to all kinds of incurable medical cases.

Dear child of God you must attend to the word as your compass showing you the way out of a lost world. Attend to it as the greatest medicine for your health. Come to the word as your psychologist bringing you a sound mind. It is your store of wisdom bringing you prosperity.

I am hooked up to the word of God. Every problem is conquered. I am light to many. I bring the peace of God to countless number of people who are burdened with challenges. My way is made prosperous because I meditate and practice the word.

John 1:4 & 5 KJV. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

KEY SCRIPTURE: Psalms 138:2 KJV “I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name”.

 God’s word is the principle that rules the universe. All that we see physically, are products of the word. The very existence of our physical universe is sustained by the word of God. Heb 1:3 KJV “…… and upholding all things by the word of his power, ……. “Our key scripture says God has magnified His word above all His names. His name is a silent communicator of His character or being, yet His word is a commitment of what he would do, what He has done or what He expects to be done. Anything that can render His word ineffective nullifies the very existence of His being. Nothing in this universe can nullify any word spoken out of His mouth. Any man who attempts to break His word breaks himself.

The scripture or His word cannot be broken. John 10:35 KJV “If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;” To honor the word is to be elevated or exalted. Pro 14:34 KJV “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” The sin of Adam and Eve was not just the fruit they ate, but the word of God they failed to honor. Obeying the word of God is choosing life, whiles disobeying it is choosing death. The word of God rules in the universe. Standing on the word would make you to rule the affairs of this life.

Our Lord Jesus emphasizing the supremacy of the word of God said, in Mat 5:18 KJV, that “For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. A jot is like an ‘i’ and a tittle is like an accent which appears like a horn. Such small and minute part of the word, will not go without being fulfilled. God’s word is absolutely reliable. The word is of utmost importance to the Father. Once the word has gone out of His mouth, it must be honored. His word authenticates His existence. Without His word He has no expression of Himself.

CONFESSION

Thank you, Father, for your word. It is of utmost importance such that I am blessed, promoted and highly favored as I obey its teaching. Your word is infallible and my way is made brighter and brighter as I honor the word.

KEY SCRIPTURE: Acts 1:8 KJV “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

The fellowship of the Holy Spirit is basically not an initiative from us, but that from the Holy Spirit. It is referring to the Spirit who consciously comes to us to help us. Among other meanings of the word help in the Greek language is the word ‘sunantilambano’ These are three Greek words joined together to give one word. These words are,’ sun’ which means with or together. The next word is ‘anti’, which means ‘against’. The last word is ‘lambano’, which means ‘to take a hold of’. The meaning of that word ‘Help’ is ‘to take a hold together against’. The Holy Spirit helps us by, taking a hold together with us against everything that we face. This should come as very refreshing to us.

The Holy Spirit joins together with us in winning the lost to Christ. Our key scripture shows us that when the Spirit comes upon us He fills us with power. You are now a power house because of the fellowship of the Spirit. Power in us is not a feeling, it is the knowledge and believe of the presence of the Spirit that has given us power to witness. Witnessing is not only sharing about Christ but demonstrating the power of the risen Christ. Another aspect of the help of the Holy Spirit is to manifest health in our bodies. Romans 8:11. He quickens or makes alive our mortal bodies.

The Holy Spirit’s fellowship with us takes away fear from us. He is God, who is ever present with us. What may come our way that is mightier than Him? We must firmly acknowledge He is ever present with us to help. He is not only with us, but in us to give us peace and guidance. He comes upon us to do special assignments to bless humanity. Dear child of God, you must know that the greatest and best companion you need for a happy, successful and impactful life is present with you. Give Him that honor, love and appreciation of His help in your life. The worst harm you could do to yourself is to despise His presence with you.

Sweet Holy Spirit, Mighty God, you are ever present with me. I am never alone. I always have your help to conquer every challenge life dishes out to me. Thank you, heavenly Father for giving me the Holy Spirit.

Psalms 139:7 KJV Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

KEY SCRIPTURE :2 Corinth 13:14 KJV ” The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all”. Amen.

THIS verse reveals the trinity at work. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are one but three distinct persons with specific roles in the life of the Christian.  When the Lord   was with the disciples, He said that, it was expedient or profitable that He left the earth to the Father (John 16:7). This meant His physical presence was good, yet he was very much limited. His departure will allow the Holy Spirit or the comforter to come. The word comforter means one who is called to help or to accompany. In simple terms, the*i *Holy Spirit is Jesus Christ unlimited.

Since he has come to stand by us to help us continue with the work Jesus started, we must cooperate with Him. The word is fellowship. This involves communion, partnership or participate with   Him. Our Lord Jesus had a very wonderful fellowship with the Holy Spirit. He helps us to pray. Prayer is not only a means of getting things from God, but a means of participating with the Spirit. Prayer raises your spiritual antenna to hear from God. Constant prayer builds in the Christian a sense of spirituality and an awareness of the presence of God because it is the Spirit doing the prayer. To fellowship with the Spirit also involves asking the Holy Spirit for His counsel, on every issue in life. If you are searching for a missing thing, ask Him to show you where or how to locate it. He has helped me out on countless occasions.

ANOTHER aspect of fellowshipping with the Spirit, is to read and study the Holy scriptures by asking for His assistance (Psalms 119:18). Meditating on the scriptures gives Him the opportunity to expound on the word of God to you. If you do not understand any verse ask him to help you. His answers would come to you as thoughts in your mind. Live with the awareness that He is always present to help you out You would get to know insight about things that natural knowledge can’t make available to you.

CONFESSION

I have the Holy Spirit in my heart. He is my ever present help in all situations. He helps me in small and big issues of life. I am never in want of solutions to challenges. Thank you, Holy Spirit.

John 16:13 KJV” Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come”.

John 14:26 KJV “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you”.

KEY SCRIPTURE: Hebrews 4:2 KJV “For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it”.

The key scripture describes a people who could not enter into God’s rest. They did not make a positive input into the word of God to bring about a change in their affairs. There are many people who suffer various kinds of calamities and hardships. A number of them claim it is God’s way of teaching them a lesson in patience. My question is how would God place our sicknesses on Jesus and then bring them to you to teach you a lesson? Can he put our sins on Jesus and still bring sins your way to teach you a lesson?  If he will not do that for our sins which Jesus bore on the cross, why would He do that for sicknesses which the Lord Jesus also carried away according to Isaiah 53:4&5?

In all these cases we need to make a positive input to enjoy God’s blessing or rest. God on his part has given us everything that pertain unto life and godliness (2nd Peter 1:3) He has given us all promises that shows His advance provision for victory and success. We must commit our confidence and absolute reliance on these promises. We must mix the word with faith. In Christ all the promises are yes. Every promise is already fulfilled in Him (2nd Corinth 1:20) You have to make a positive input. Say yes to the word of God. Tell the Lord this word is true in my case.

IF your condition is to obtain victory over the devil, arise and say I have conquered the enemy in Jesus name. The rod of the wicked will not rest on the lot of the righteous (Psalm 125:3) Take your stand on this scripture and refuse the activities of the enemy over your life. If it is your marriage, tell the devil what God has joined together no one including the devil can separate it. Well when it has to do with the will of a second person, you need to make a lot of intercessions. In any case don’t throw in the towel. God would speak and things would turn around.

 Whatever the negative situation is, look for what God has said and agree with the scripture.  Make a positive input about the situation and you would definitely have your rest concerning that situation.

CONFESSION

The word of God is forever true. I believe and so I have whatever the word says. My condition, no matter how it is always aligns according to my faith.
