How does the Christians take advantage of the divine life?

We have learnt that Jesus Christ is our life, yet many Christians do not know how to allow the divine life of Christ to be manifested in their day to day experiences. Romans 8:6 gives us the answer in a very simple way. It reads “for to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace”. Divine life takes over when our minds agree with the scriptures and our hearts are ready to act on the word.  This applies in all aspects of our lives: it works in receiving ability to do what the word says, receiving healing from the spirit etc. (Please read Matt 8:8–13)

To be spiritually minded is to be scripturally minded, a readiness to do what the scriptures says. (Please take every instruction of scripture as pouring forth from the lips of the master) There is always a supernatural transformation when we allow the scriptures to dominate our mind.  Roman 12:2 says “And be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your Mind….” God’s word always carries life and supernatural ability. When the Christian gives heed to what God is saying, the Bible says, that person is transformed into what the scripture says. This is how the word creates miracle in various ways.

God word is full of divine life.  John 6:63 “it is the spirit that gives life, the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life”. .  Romans 8:6 says the flesh will breed death if it rules. Give in to what God says.

The moment you accept what God says, the supernatural life in God’s word goes into action and works miracles, yet for you to experience this miracle in reality, you must boldly declare what you have accepted from the word .Romans 10:9&10.

The life of Christ comes to us through the word. I open up myself to place my confidence in the word always.

Isaiah 55:11 ” So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it”.

We continue with the fact that Jesus is the life. It is always what one is that determines what he does and subsequently what he will become.

Christ had taken His abode in the Christian. The child of God can only be successful in this life, if He acknowledges that Christ is in him. In actual fact he or she must do all things with the awareness that it is Christ actively working through him or her. (Philippians 2:13).

The book of Romans 8:9, 10 makes it clear that Christ in a Christian puts Him in the Spirit and not in the flesh. The verse 10 says “And if Christ be in you the body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is life because of righteousness”. The Spirit in this sense is Christ in us.  The verse says that the body is dead, that is, the body no longer rules or leads us. The presence of Christ in us relegates the influence of the flesh or body to the back ground, giving way to the Spirit to lead and control us. The Christian with this understanding does all things by the life of Christ or the Spirit of Christ. This is the ground for true victory in his life.

 His (Jesus) life in us makes us live beyond the ordinary human.  Philippines 4:13 adds that we can do all things through Christ which strengthens us.  There is a super life at work in every child of God.  Align your thinking this way.  Face life with an advantageous mentality.

Our Lord Jesus faced His life encounters with this attitude. He made statements like the Father is with me.  John 8:29 “And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone: for I do always those things that please Him”.

The Lord Jesus is our life. He seeks to express Himself through us. May we allow Him to manifest His power and wisdom through you.

Christ is alive in me. He is my wisdom and my ability. All things are indeed possible with me because He strengthens me.

Christianity is a biological miracle. In Christ ordinary mortals receive a heavenly supernatural life which supplants the natural life they received from their parents. The word “born again” means to be born from above or from a higher place. (John 3:3,)

Dear child of God this is not just a view we carry but a real biological miracle.  Apostle Paul put it this way in Galatians 2:20 as follows ” I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

 This is the experience of every Christian. It is the life of Jesus that is living and pulsating through our flesh. This became possible because Jesus died in our place so He could release His life for us.

The Lord Jesus is the life indeed. 2nd Corinthians 5:17 says “therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature, old things have passed away behold EVERYTHING has become new”. There is a new life in every Christian. This is a mystery and a real wonder.

Apostle Paul speaks of this life in Colossians 1:27 as follows “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles which is Christ in you, the hope of glory”. Christ is the life of the Christian. He gave His life for us and presently lives in us. What can defeat you? The Christian is Christ in one. “. Christ means the anointed one. When we say Jesus the Christ, we are only saying Jesus the anointed one. By virtue of the Christ in you, you have also become the anointed one.

The Lord Jesus died to make His life available to every man who would believe in Him.  Dear child of God through our Lord Jesus Christ you are a supernatural being. Do everything with this understanding and you would never be found wanting.

Christ is my life. What a miracle. By Him all things are possible with me. I have God’s divine nature and I am an associate of the God kind, because Jesus gave His life for me. The forces of destruction in this life cannot defeat me. Thank you Jesus.

John 1:4-5  ” In him was life; and the life was the light of men.And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not”.

In our scripture of consideration, the Lord said that, He is the way, the truth and the life.  In this study we are looking at the “life” aspect.

The Bible reveals that man is spiritually dead.  Roman’s 5:12 “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world and death by sin and so death passed upon all men for that all have sinned. Death possessed everyone who was born into this life.  Ephesians 2:1 iterates that “And you has He quickened (raised) who were dead in trespasses and sins”.  Man’s problem was not just a moral decay but an issue of separation from God which is a spiritual death.

Now physical death is a separation of the spirit of man from His body. James 2:26 “For as the body without the spirit is dead so faith without works is dead”.

What every man needed was not laws and doctrines but life from above. (Dead men can’t respond to instructions, they need life) This was the reason Jesus came, to give to all men, life. The Lord said in John 10:10…..but I am come that they might have life and have it more abundantly”. He said the good shepherd gives His life for His sheep. (John 10:11) Jesus did not come just to raise followers for God, He came to raise a family (sons and daughters) for God.. John 1:12,13 “But as many as received Him,  to them gave He power to become the sons of God,  even to them that believed in His name: which were born,  not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh,  nor of the will of man,  but of God. Jesus had to give His life to make this possible. This is the reason religion which is men  seeking to be acceptable before God by observing laws, codes of attics, doctrines and ordinance cannot be saved.

Indeed Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father but through Him.

Beloved readers please understand that no amount of good deeds can make you acceptable before the Father.  You must be born again or born from above.  (John 3:3, 5). Question; HOW GOOD ARE YOU?

Our Lord Jesus is the only truth because He is the only one who can give men true rest.  Most men are living restless lives. Peace of mind has eluded millions. Religion is never the answer to a peaceful life.  Religion has rather created big divisions among humans. It is the lack of peace in people’s hearts that causes them to attack their fellow human beings, all in the name of the defense or promotion of their religion.

The Lord Jesus said in Matthew 11:28 that “Come unto me all he that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest”. Any man who sincerely came to Him received rest for his soul. There has been so many religious leaders, yet none has been able to really give peace and rest to its followers. None was so audacious to speak like Jesus spoke. He said He will give all those who came to Him rest.  This He has successfully done.

Jesus is the prince of peace. This is what the prophet Isaiah prophesied about Him, Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a child is born and unto us a son is given and the government shall be upon His shoulder; and His name shall be called wonderful, counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, the prince of peace. Jesus is the only truth because He is the prince of peace who can give you the peace you need.

There are some people who are emotionally attached to their religions although they are very aware they have no peace. They know they are not sure of their eternal home. Please the worst thing you can do to yourself is to refuse all these candid facts about Jesus and to find yourself in eternal destruction.

Please what Jesus said either makes him a liar, lunatic or Lord. He cannot be a liar, after honouring His word in the lives of all those who believed Him. Lunacy cannot be associated with Him. His words have healed millions in all times.

Jesus is Lord, He is the truth.

John 14:27 ” Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid”.

Our Lord Jesus is the only truth.  A critical look at the messianic prophecies in the Old Testament were literally fulfilled in Him. Please read through Psalm 22. Now just consider verse 18. “They part my garments among them and cast lots upon my vesture”. This was a prophecy of over one thousand years before Jesus physically came into this life. Matthew 27:35 gives the fulfillment of this prophecy as follows “And they crucified Him and parted His garments casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, they parted my garment among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots”. This is only one of the hundreds of accurate prophecies about the Lord Jesus that have been fulfilled in detail.

The Lord Jesus was never in doubt about His origin and where He was going. The Lord answered Nicodemus in the following manner”. Verily, verily, I say unto you, we speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen and ye receive not our witness (John 3:11). The Lord never guessed about anything. He was always spot on.  Whoever but our Lord Jesus could have prayed the following prayer unto the Heavenly Father”. John 17:5 “And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was”.

In the above scripture the Lord asked the Father to glorify Him with Himself, with the glory He had with the Father. This is wonderful. Jesus is God. He is one with the Father.  He is THE truth.

 Jesus was not a philosopher searching for truth, He was truth. He was not a follower seeking for the way, He was the way, and the reality. He never withdrew from pain. He never guessed, He was always sure.  He was sure about who He was, He was sure about who the Father was, He was sure about where He came from, He was sure about where He was going. There was absolute certainty with all He did. In 2 Timothy 1:12b “…. for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. Jesus is the truth

Dear brother, would you commit your life unto the master today?

John 1:18 “No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him”.

In our key scripture, the Lord said He is the way the truth and the life.  The Lord said He is truth.  He did not just preached the truth but he was the truth.

The biggest challenge facing men is how to know what truth as against error is. Satan the god of this world is the father of lies. A lie can easily be taken for truth because its grand purpose is to deceive. No wonder the Bible says the devil has deceived the whole world (Revelation 12:9). How can all these countless number of religious be truthful?  The Lord Jesus knew very well that there would be so many teachings that proclaim they are the right way yet deceive many.

What is truth? In John 18:38 Pilate asked the Lord this same question, after the Lord Jesus had told him that he came to bear witness to the truth. Truth is reality. It is that which is constant, abiding, faithful and producing *what it says. Truth is that which liberates and leaves no sense of doubt in the mind of the second party.  Truth is light for in its presence darkness is absent. Truth does not hide and has nothing to hide.  Time, place and events does not affects truth in anyway.

The Lord Jesus is the only one who fulfills every one of the above characteristics of truth.  Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever”. The Lord had not diminished in His miraculous power.  His power to save is forever the same. The sick are healed in our day, just as He did in His day.  No one came to Him with a very filthy or evil life and went back the same. John 6:37 says “All that the Father gives me shall come to me, and Him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out.

John the beloved wrote the following about Him. “And the word became flesh and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth “. There is nothing doubtful about truth .It does not argue or attempts to explain itself.

Jesus is the greatest one to have as your Lord. Surrender your life to Him today.

The Lord Jesus is truth personified His words have transcended generations healing and enlightening as many who would submit to Him. My life is dependent on His word, and by His word I win throughout in my life.

John 18:37 “Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice”.

Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the almighty.

Our Lord Jesus declared that He is the way.  He is our righteousness. Through Jesus Christ any man who believes in Him receives God’s righteousness and has a right standing before the Father.

The Bible declares, for all men have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. This makes everyone guilty and therefore unacceptable before God.  The scripture says in 2nd Corinthians 5:21 “For He has made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him”. When the Lord died He become sin for every one of us. The scripture also said, God was in Christ Jesus reconciling the world unto Himself, not inputting their sins unto them…. “. Jesus is our sin bearer, we shared His righteousness.

 Jesus is the only way for man’s righteous standing before God.  Romans 4:25 says “Who was delivered for our offences and was raised again for our justification”. The word justification also means our righteousness. It explains the fact that in His resurrection we resurrected with Him with a completely new nature which had no relation with the one which was crucified with Christ.  If anyone be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things have passed away behold all things has become new”. This new man is one with Jesus and shares His righteousness.

Romans 10:4 says “our Lord Jesus is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believes”. This means all the demands of the Law were fulfilled in Him. He was the consummation of all requirements of the law.  Any man who accept Him as the Lord and saviour has automatically fulfilled the law.  The ability to honour the righteous demands of the law is set up within us who believe in Him (Romans 8:3, 4). To be made righteous means we have the ability to live rightly unto God.  That righteous nature has become our very nature.

Dear brother or sister without Jesus no man has God’s righteous nature. Please surrender your life to Him today and receive His righteousness.

I am the righteous of God because my Lord. Jesus became sin so I could become the righteousness of God.  I have the ability to live rightly every day.  My righteous nature gives me boldness daily to stand against any rebellion of the enemy and overcome him.

Philippians 3:9 ” And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith”:

The Lord Jesus declared in our key scripture that He is the way. Men have always sort to find alternatives to the. Jesus way.  Unfortunately all who refuse to accept this way only end up in misery.

In the book of Genesis 3:1-8, the devil came in the form of a serpent and  told  eve  that   if they were to eat the tree of  knowledge of good and evil they would have their eyes opened knowing things as God.  In this instant they forsook God’s way and the result was an awareness of their nakedness, fear that caused them to hide and an ultimate rejection from God’s garden to begin to fern for themselves. Men are presently groping in the dark.

 The Lord Jesus is the way back into God’s light. Indeed He is the light of the world. John 8:12 “Then spoke Jesus again unto them saying I am the light of the world, He that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life”. This is amazing. Everyone who has made Jesus Lord of his or her life is no more in darkness. The Lord said He shall also have the light of life.  He does not only abide in the light but He would also become light unto others. Matthew 5:14.

Light is solution and light brings vision. John 1:4, 5 also iterates that in Him was life, and that life was the light of men, and the light shines in darkness and darkness has never overpowered it.  This is the dwelling place of all Christians, they are in the light. Light also means deliverance from evil. Light is liberation.

1st Peter 2:9 reminds us that we have been brought or rescued from darkness into His marvelous light. Jesus is the light and the way into this light.

 Where are you dear reader? To be in darkness means to be ruled by sin, sicknesses and all forms of satanic oppression. Darkness is the power of Satan .If you are devoid of a peaceful mind, then you are in darkness. Why suffer in darkness when you can freely enjoy the liberty and privileges of God’s light. Come to Jesus.

Lord Jesus you came to bring us light and to make us light.  I accept you into my life today. I receive your light into my life.

The Lord Jesus declared, I am the way. What is the way? The gospel or good news is that way.. The gospel is basically the news about the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus. 1st Corinth 15:3&4, put it this way, “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures”: Believing this message concerning the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ ushers a man into eternal life. This is the only way to receive eternal life. .

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”.

Eternal life is not only received after death but   the very moment an individual believes in the Lord Jesus.

“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: ….” (John 3:36) Eternal is also the very life of God. John 5:26 ” For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;”

This life in the Son is what is given to us when we believe in Jesus.1 John 5:12  ” He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life”.

What would this eternal life do for you?

Eternal life makes you superior to the devil and gives you victory over him. It helps you to lead the supernatural life. This involves walking in love, Holiness and experiencing the miraculous power of God. Above all these God gives you His peace.

You can be a partaker of eternal life, if you would turn the control of your life unto Him (JESUS)
