WORRY WOULD BLOCK YOUR ANSWER

KEY SCRIPTURE:

Matthew 6:25 “Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?”

The admonishing in the key scripture, not to worry is very necessary when we have made our request unto God. Worry is a definite sign of the absence of joy and the Lord says in John 14:24, that He answers our requests so we may have joy to the full.

How can we be full of joy and victory when the circumstances look dark and we have needs in our lives? The normal response in such times is worry. Worry would definitely negate your prayer. Praying really involves giving God our cares. (1st Peter 5:7). To worry simply means no prayer has been made and therefore no answer can be anticipated

How can we be full of joy when the demand and the challenges are great? This is the reason we must consistently build our confidence in the word through consistent acts of meditation and acting on the word. (Matt 7:21-27)

We must maintain our joy even though the challenge of financial, health or whatever situation we may be facing is imposing. Your joy in such times reveals your confidence in God and His word as well as living in the answer. (Philippians 4:4 “Rejoice in the Lord always

Dear brother/sister, you would block or hinder God from helping you if you are going to worry and figure out how God is going to do it. In this way you have not cast the care unto God and you have not prayed at all.

God has assured us in Mark 11:24, that when you pray, believe that God has heard, answered and you have received your answer. This leaves no room for worry or mind tormenting imaginations. God has taken over and how He would do it is very simple for Him.

         PRAYER

Father I am very grateful that your ears are always opened to my prayers. My heart is always full of joy after I have made the request because your ability to answer me has no limits and your word is forever settled in heaven, I thank you in Jesus name.

PRAYING IN JESUS NAME

KEY SCRIPTURE: John 16:23-24 “And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full”.

During our discussions on Jesus Christ, we learnt that He is the mediator between God and man. 1st Timothy 2:5. We pray to the father in His name. We do not pray to the father through His name. To pray through Him makes Him a medium. He is not a medium, but as our High Priest He represents us. (Hebrews 5:1).

We do not pray to Him(the Lord Jesus), as we find no place in scripture that says we may pray to him, rather we pray to the father in His name.(John 16:23-24)

We can also exercise authority over situations in His name, and He would respond. John 14:14 “If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it”. And

Mark 16:17

From our key scripture, Jesus said in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Our Lord Jesus said this just before He died and rose again to sit on the right hand of the father on our behalf. He said in John 14:23 ” Whatsoever ye shall ask the father in my name, He will give it to you”.

The only way to approach the father is in His (Jesus) name. We can worship our Lord Jesus and worship is a type of prayer. We can tell Jesus how much we love and appreciate Him, but when it comes to praying and asking, we must ask the father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

When the Lord Jesus was teaching the disciples a model prayer, He introduced God as our father (Matthew 6:9). We are to bow our knees to our Heavenly Father in prayer using the name of Jesus. (Ephesians 3:14, 15

Some people also end their prayers by saying for Jesus sake. This also has no scriptural basis. Praying in Jesus name is offering yourself the highest protocol for heaven’s recognition, whiles praying for Jesus sake is requesting on behalf of Jesus which is simply wrong, since you are the one making the request not Jesus.

              PRAYER

Heavenly Father I thank you for giving me such Honorable protocol to come to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I thank you that when I pray in Jesus name it is like Jesus Himself making the request. Thank you that in this way I always receive my answers. I make this thanksgiving in Jesus name.

STEPS TO ANSWERED PRAYER IV

KEY SCRIPTURE: Philippians 4:6 “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God”

The next step to take to receive answers to your prayers is to lift your heart to God continually in increasing praise and gratitude for what He has done and for what He is doing for you now.

Our key scripture tells us “to be careful for nothing”. It means in nothing be anxious. It also means do not fret or have any anxiety about anything (Philippians 4:6 Amp)

As long as you fret and have anxiety all the praying and fasting in the world isn’t going to do any good. The rest of Philippians 4:6 says “With thanksgiving “. When you pray and make your request known to God, then you must thank Him for the answer. We are to pray with thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving is an act of faith. It acknowledges that God has already answered. Jesus at the tomb of Lazarus said “……Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me”. The Lord had not seen Lazarus raised physically yet He started thanking God for hearing him. This is one of the highest points of operating faith. Don’t wait to see every request answered, start thanking the Lord. 1st Thessalonians 5:18 reads ” In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you”. After you have done all that we have talked earlier, the next is continually thank the Lord for answering you.

The apostle Paul and Silas in the prison prayed and sang praises unto God and their deliverance was effected (Acts 16:25-26). Do not complain about your condition, rather ignore the enemy and his fake activities by thanking God and praising His name.

            CONFESSIONS

Praise be to the name of the Lord for your mercies and goodness unto me. In your name I have overcome all the operations of the enemy. Thank you Lord for answering my request.

STEPS TO ANSWERED PRAYER V

KEY SCRIPTURE: Proverbs 4:20-22 “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh”

Our next step to   receiving answers to our prayers is to meditate constantly on the promises upon which we based the answer to our prayer.

Our key scripture admonishes us to attend to the word of God. This would be life to those that find them or put their confidence in the word and medicine or healing to all our flesh. God would certainly make His word good in your case. If it’s healing you need, for instance, God’s word says “…….Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses “(Matthew 8:17), and “…..with His stripes we are healed “(Isaiah 53:5)

If God’s word says He hears and answers prayers and if that word doesn’t depart from before your eyes, then you are bound to see yourself with the things you asked for. If you don’t see yourself with the things you desire, then God’s word has departed from before your eyes.

When our Lord Jesus went along with Jarius to heal his daughter, he (Jarius) was informed the daughter had died. Jesus turned to him and said “…….Be not afraid, only believe “(Mark 5:36) All that Jarius needed to do was to focus on Jesus and not on the report, that his daughter was dead.

If you don’t stand by the word, although God wants to stand by you, He can’t because the only way God works is through His word. God has bound Himself by His word. He has magnified His word above His name. (Psalm 138:2)

Jonah reminds us that those who observe lying vanities forsake their mercies (Jonah 2:8).

This means if you attend to symptoms and negative conditions, your mercies would leave you but if you stand by the word, God will stand by you.

              CONFESSIONS

My focus is the word of God. I believe what God says. My life is an excited one for I continually experience success and breakthrough all through for the word in my heart and on my lips prevail over all.

FURTHER STUDIES:

Mark 5:35-36 “While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?

As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe”.

Jonah 2:8 “They that observe lying vanities forsake their own” mercy.

STEPS TO ANSWERED PRAYER IV

KEY SCRIPTURE: 2 Corinth 10:5 “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ”

In this series of teachings I would be making certain repetitions from our previous studies. This is intentional since repetition only establishes the truth received. Philippians 3:1 “Finally my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe”. It is safe, to be established in the truth.

Once again I say guard against evil thoughts that comes into your mind to try to make you doubt God’s word.

Thoughts are governed by observation, association and teaching. Our key scripture tells us to cast down every imagination that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. That’s why you should stay away from all places and things that do not support your affirmation that God has answered your prayer. Remember your thoughts are governed by observations, associations and teaching.

This means that sometimes you will have to stay away from the kind of churches that can put more doubt and unbelief in you than anything else. Also be sure to fellowship with those who contribute to your faith.

The word of God shows us what we must think about in Philippians 4:8  “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things”.

The Bible tells us in Philippians exactly what to think on. Many people are thinking on the wrong things and are defeated in life as a result. But if you would guard against every evil thought and think only on the things which affirm that God has heard and answered your prayers. In this way you would be operating with God in faith. Guard your mind so you would develop your faith. Your faith would see you through. (1st John 5:4)

      CONFESSIONS

God always answers me as I pray according to His word. I therefore have my answer, even though it might not have manifested physically. I know God’s word is true and settled in heaven. I rejoice in my answers!!!

FURTHER STUDIES:

1 John 5:4 ” For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith”.

Psalms 119:89-90 “Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth”.

STEPS TO ANSWERED PRAYER III

KEY SCRIPTURE: Proverbs 4:23 “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life”.

The next step to having answers to your prayers is to let every thought and desire affirm that you have what you asked for, or be positive in your thinking.

After you prayed in faith according to God’s word never permit a mental picture of failure in your mind. Don’t doubt for one minute that you have the answer. If doubt seem to show up refuse it with your mouth. Rebuke doubt and get your mind on the answer. This is done by putting your mind on the word.

Our key scripture tells us to guard our hearts with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life. If you allow doubt and negativity to dwell on your mind that is what you would have in your life. James 4:7 tells us…….. “Resist the devil and he will flee from you”

The apostle Peter also repeated this statement in another sense in 1st Peter 5:8, as follows “Be sober, be vigilant because your adversary, the devil as a roaring lion, walketh about searching whom he may devour “. The verse 9a says “Whom resist steadfast in the faith…..”

Your thought would ultimately influence your believing, so give no place to doubtful thoughts. Rebuke doubt each time it shows up and fix your thought or mind on the answer that is the word of God.

In order to receive answers to your prayers, you must eradicate every image, suggestion, vision, dream, impression, feeling and all thoughts that do not contribute to your faith.

Anything that contradicts the word of God must be rejected

       CONFESSION

My heart is occupied with the word of God. There is no place for any word of the liar. I believe whatever God says about my situation. That settles it. I have my answer and living in the answer. Mark 11:23-24  “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Therefore I say unto you, what things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them”.

Romans 4:19″  And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb”:

STEPS TO ANSWERED PRAYER II

KEY SCRIPTURE: Mark 11:24 “Therefore I say unto you, what things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them”.

The next step after asking your request is to believe that you have received your answer. The key scripture says, when you pray believe that you have received.

God always does things spiritually before it manifest in the physical or natural. Believing is receiving the answer spiritually, then it would manifest itself physically. There is no way it will come into the natural if it has not first been received. This operates with the principle of sowing seeds and fruition. (Mark 4:26-27)

. This is where most people miss it. They want to see the answer before believing they have it. Things does not work out that way.

God always gives out what He has promised. This comes to us through the promise we have believed.

The answer may happen in an instant, this is called a miracle or may take some moments to manifest which is the normal system of sowing and reaping. (Genesis 8:22a” While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, shall not cease”

When you pray, receive the answer which God has already promised. The challenge of having the manifestation is the lies that the devil raises in your mind. (John 8:44)

The devil is a specialist in communicating lies, in fact he is a murderer and the father of liars. This is the reason you must know the word of God and stand on the promise declaring with your mouth that God has honored His word and you have the answer. Declare to the devil as the Lord did during His temptation. Tell the devil” it is written” and speak out what God has promised.  Romans 3:4 ” God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; …….”

Every contrary feeling or physical sign is a lie only what God has said is truth. Take a stand on the scripture and refuse to be moved. Your answer cannot be denied!!!

          PRAYER

Lord your word is truth, I believe I have the answer as I prayed because your word said so. Every contrary feeling, condition or situation is a lie. I have what you have promised since I have believed it.
