KEY SCRIPTURE: John 5:22 “For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son”:

JESUS is the appointed ultimate judge of all mankind. No matter who you are, you have an appointment with judgment. Hebrews 9:27 “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment”:

Presently our Lord JESUS is the revealer of grace and truth. We must all make full use of the abundance of grace to lead lives free from the dominance of sin. All those who have not surrendered their lives to him, and made him the Lord of their lives must do so, so they would be saved from eternal damnation.

In the near future he would no more be the lamb who took away the sin of the whole but the judge of all.2 Corinth 5:10a ” For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ……”; The proceeding verse says2 Corinth 5:11a  “Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; ….”.

What would be God’s standard of judgment?

1. Men would be judged righteous judgment. (Acts 17:31)

2 .Men would be judged according to God’s holy standard (Rom 2:6, 10, 11)

3. Men would be judged according to their attitude to Christ. (John 12:48)
4. Men would be judged according to the measure of light and opportunity given them (Matt 11:21-24)
5. Men would be rewarded or punished in degrees. (Lk 19:16-19)

Dear brother or sister there is no partiality with God, so in the light of this, let us separate ourselves from all things that defile us, so we may be bold on the Day of Judgment. (1st John 4:17)

PRAYER

Lord I pray that my love for you may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;

That I may approve things that are excellent; that I may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;
