KEY SCRIPTURE: John 20:29 KJV” Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed”.
Many Christians wished they were in the times when the Lord Jesus walked the shores of this earth. The Lord Jesus SAYS that, we are rather in better times. He says blessed are they who have not seen yet believe. Why is this so? There are two kinds of faith. There is sense knowledge faith. This is the faith expressed as a result of what we can see. There is also the revelation knowledge faith. This is the kind of faith expressed as a result of the written or spoken word. Faith is the evidence of things not seen. Note also that, God our Father relates with us on the terms of our faith In Him.
Faith is not true faith, if it is based on something seen. It is only a sincere faith, if it is based on acknowledging as a fact or true that which one cannot see now. Jesus is excited about those who take His word as He himself talking to them now. Every scripture carries the breath of God (2nd Timothy 3:16&17) God watches over every scripture to bring it to pass (Jeremiah 1:12). Believing and acting on the word
sets you up to function by revelation knowledge faith or true faith in God.
We must always approach God’s word as the Lord Himself speaking to us. We must also affirm the promises of scripture to make them very present and real to us. As an example, the word assures us that everything that pertain unto life and godliness has been made available to us (2nd Peter 1:3). I believe it, and I thank the Father. I declare that, I have everything that pertains unto life and godliness. By this revelation, I am a success bringing glory and honor unto the Lord in all I do. You have to affirm this word over and over again, till you instinctively respond to it. If you keep doing this you would train up your spirit man to be very strong.
The Bible is God’s word. Every scripture is given by the breath or Spirit of God. God’s life is in His word. I receive every promise and instruction as the Lord personally speaking to me. The very power that is seen through Jesus, the apostles and prophets is replicated in me.
2 Timothy 3:16 & 17 KJV” All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
Jeremiah 1:12 KJV “Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it”.
