DON'T BE CASUAL WITH GOD

KEY SCRIPTURE: Luke 7:7 KJV “Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed “.

In Luke 7:1-10, a centurion whose servant was dying sent some elders of the Jews to ask of Jesus’ help. This man was a Roman citizen yet demonstrated how much he feared God. He built a synagogue for the Jews. He was very concerned about his servant, such that he impressed upon the elders to plead with the master to come heal his servant. He was a man who recognized the power of God and highly valued the word from His mouth.

HE sent some men to Jesus again, to tell Him not to bother to come to His house, but only say the word and his servant would be healed. This man was not casual with God.

During the second world War, an old American lady was found sleeping peacefully in a building which had been bombed by the Germans, although her room was intact. She was asked, how come you are not scared, but sleeping peacefully. Her answer was. “Behold, He that keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep”. (Psalm 121:4). Her whole life was hanging on this scripture. She was never casual with God. God would always honor such people.

Do not be casual with God. The fear in the heart of most people, even some Christians, show that they are casual with God. Just take the following word from the lips of the father. Isa 41:10 KJV ” Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I*will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness” What an assurance!  Let every fear cease from this moment. Hang your life on this scripture, and COVID 19 cannot do you any harm.

CONFESSION

I am never afraid of any situation because I have hanged my life on God’s abundant promises, from the lips of the father. My life is totally dependent on these promises. Indeed, I am more than secured
