KEY SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 1:5 KJV “Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will”,
One aspect of the blessings in Christ is our adoption as sons. This kind of adoption is different from going for a child in an orphanage and making him or her your son or daughter. The word for adoption in the Greek language is ‘uithesia’. It means, son placing. Son placing is when a son comes of age (30 years among the Romans) and so the father places his estate into his hands. The ceremony of acknowledging that, such a son is an adult ready to take over his father’s estate is what the scripture terms ADOPTION.
The book of Galatians 4:1–8 throws light on this issue. The Bible explains that when a son is a child, he is under tutors. When you were not in Christ you were under the influence of the forces of this world. Gal 4:1 KJV ” Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of ALL”; From the day you were born again, you ceased to be under the powers of this world. You were placed as an adult son and the inheritance, or the right to rule was given to you. Gal 4:7 KJV” Wherefore thou art no more a servant or slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ”.
The scripture above! simply means, as children of God you are no more servants or slaves to any contrary power. Every power that once had the mastery over you has totally lost it’s power because you have become sons through Christ. Dear child of God, if there is any negative influence over your life, then stand on this scripture, and resist its reign over you. You are now in Christ and therefore you can’t be a slave or servant to them. You are lord over them.
Thank you, heavenly father that I am now a son, and no more a slave to any contrary power. Every power and authority is subjected to me. Sicknesses, sin, satanic controls, and any evil power are under my control. Thank you, heavenly father.
Galatians 4:6 KJV” And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father”
Romans 8:15 KJV. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
