KEY SCRIPTURE: Acts 1:3 KJV” To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God”:
We continue with our study on the reliability of the Bible. Our key scripture states clearly that Jesus showed Himself alive to the disciples by many infallible proofs. Infallible means undeniable or overwhelming proves. The apostles’ position on the resurrection of Jesus gives a very strong grounds to accept the Bible as reliable.
These men who claimed saw the resurrected Jesus proved their conviction by dying for what they knew was true. Someone may say people always die for a lie. This is very true, yet such people die for what they believed was true. The apostles did not just believe but said they had infallible encounters with the resurrected Christ for a period of forty days. If the resurrection was a lie then the disciples knew it . Will any man die for what he knows is a lie? I don’t think so. They said Jesus showed Himself to them, and they proved it by dying for what they claimed.
Christianity stands or crumbles with the validity of the resurrection. 1Corinth 15:14 KJV “And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain” . The conversion of apostle Paul and the complete turnaround of his life gives credence to the truth of the resurrection of Jesus. The proof of his encounter with Jesus is his absolute transformation to defend the gospel of Jesus. He was a strong propagator of the law, but started teaching about the grace of God. Jesus is resurrected indeed. This proves there is life after death. There would be judgment or rewards for everyone, depending on what you did with Jesus the Savior.
CONFESSION
Our Lord Jesus is resurrected from the dead. This has brought light and hope to me. I am more energized to tell all men to give their lives to Christ and His course.
