KEY SCRIPTURE: Matthew 10:31 KJV “Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.”
FEAR is a feeling of insecurity as a result of an anticipated danger. The psychologist claims fear is a necessity because it helps one to avoid destruction. This kind of fear relates to common sense, like not crossing the street on an high way or not to put your hand in fire and many such things. This view is quite reasonable yet in our dealings with God we accept His words in our hearts, which builds confidence in Him. Fear of any form takes away that inner assurance we have in God. Fear in the life of the child of God always put God our Father out of the picture. Fear therefore makes the child of God very vulnerable to the things he or she is afraid of. Job 3:25 KJV” For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.” Job said he was not in safety, neither did he have rest and was also not quiet then destruction came.
Our key scripture tells us not to be afraid, because God our Father watches over us. Please read Psalm 121.The psalmist reveals God is our helper, and He does not slumber nor sleeps. Our Father is committed to our safety in every way. He says you are more valuable than many sparrows. The only way for us to receive maximum security from Him is to have faith in Him. Every promise of God is a covenant between us and Him our part of the agreement is to do what that promise says and God our Father would be bound to do what he has said. When we have fear about anything, against His promise, it means, we have not accepted His terms of the contract, and so He is not bound to fulfill it. This makes fear terribly expensive to allow into your life.
HOW can we avoid fear in our lives?
1. Take time to learn about the experiences of all those who trusted in God. He never failed even one of them. He can’t fail in your case. Hebrews 13:7&8
2. Read and meditate on various promises of God’s protection, provision and promotion. Make them always fresh in your spirit saying them to yourself.
3. Never declare any statement of insecurity insufficiency or lack of favor. Daily declare that you are completely secure, and your needs are completely met. Say also that you are highly favored by God.
Your words that agree with the scriptures would ensure that you always respond positively to those words in the day of danger or challenge.
4. Always act in line or in agreement to what God’s word says.
IF you would do these things, you would always be ready to face and overcome any danger.
