KEY SCRIPTURE: Matthew 12:12 (KJV).” How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.”
The Lord Jesus demonstrated again that God wants the sick healed. At this very instant the Pharisees came to Him and asked is it right to heal on a Sabbath day? The Lord begun to express the importance of man over all other creatures. The Lord put it this way, if your sheep fell into a pit on the Sabbat day, would you allow it to die in the pit? Are you not going to go into it and save that sheep? He then added is not a man more important than every beast? The Lord Jesus by these encounters expresses God’s strong dislike for sickness. The Lord then said, is it not right to do good on the sabbath days? Healing was a good thing according to the Lord. These revelations must change our attitude towards sickness. We should not see it as God’s will for placing it on men. “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” — Acts 10:38 (KJV).
The preceding verse says it all. God is the healer and actively participates in seeing men well. Satan and his angels also actively torment people with all kinds of ailments and weaknesses. The scriptures have continually demonstrated through Jesus encounters with the sick and the lack of understanding of God’s will for humanity by the Pharisees, that God always wants the sick to be healed. The scriptures teach that He that knows a good thing, seeing his brother is in need of it, and fails to give it, to him it is sin. God knowing that it is good to give healing, will not hold it back from him that needs it. Please note that as sin destroys the soul of a man, sickness also destroys the body of man. The will of God is that God will be glorified both in our spirit or souls, and our bodies as well. “For ye are bought with a price: therefore, glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” — 1 Corinthians 6:20 (KJV). A man who is afflicted with a devastating disease does not glorify God in his body.
What must we do in the light of all that has been said earlier? The scriptures teach we must submit to the revealed will of God, and resist the devil and he will flee from us. James 4:7. Be fully settled in your mind that it is God’s perfect will for you to be healthy and well. Then begin to refuse the devil for inflicting your body with any unwanted condition. Use your mouth and say to the devil, I cast you out of my body. I refuse to permit you in my body. It is my duty to keep my body clean and healthy, for God has completed His part, and I do my part by refusing any evil in my life. Speak also to your body, by telling it to remain clean of every disease. Insist daily that your body is whole and the devil is a liar. To the Lord, keep thanking Him for healing your body. Your words for healing goes against the devil, and to your body as well as thanking the Lord for his faithfulness in keeping you well. Never complain to God why He is not healing you. That would rob you of your faith to be healed. Keep doing this daily till you see a totally clean healthy body.
