LOVE THE LORD WITH YOUR ALL

KEY SCRIPTURE: Matthew 28:1 KJV “In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.”

Everyman is totally committed to something of some kind. Whatever you love, determines what rules you. Mary Magdalene and some of the woman showed an exceptional love for the master. The Lord taught that the greatest of all the commandments is to love the Lord God with all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength (Mat 22:38). The Bible said these women left for the tomb of Jesus at the early hours of the day. My question is how were they going to roll away that heavy stone. How did they expect to get to Jesus when the tomb was secured by these strong Roman soldiers? Their love for the master knew something would solve all these questions so that they would see the body of Jesus and anoint it.

Considering the above barriers to their goal of going to anoint the body of Jesus, shows that true love has no excuses. Any time you have to give an excuse for not doing something for the master, means you do not love him totally. Love for the master does not know any danger. What really matters is doing that which pleases Him. A total love for the master is real freedom. Men are bound by all kinds of things and lifestyles. They have sleepless nights, yet this should not be your portion. God gives His beloved sleep.

Today make a decision to love the Lord above everything. Let’s consider what Paul endured in His bid to please the master. He was beaten with stripes and ones with rod. He was put in prison, suffered hunger, cold nights and many more. (2nd Corinth 11:22-33). Paul calls all these light afflictions.”;2Co 4:17 KJV For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;”

According to the above verse, if you are worried about any challenges in your life as a Christian, then your love for the master is not total. Many Christians are never concerned about the lost, and so do nothing about them. This is your moment of total love for Jesus. Demonstrate it by your love for Him and His people.

THOUGHT:  TRUE LOVE DOES NOT SEE DIFFICULTIES
