KEY SCRIPTURE: Matthew 28:19 KJV Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
In the business world, no product is sold without some form of introduction of the product to prospective buyers or users. One of the best means of advertising is when individuals talk to others about the benefits of the products. The Lord Jesus before He finally rose into the skies gave certain instructions to His disciples. Among the many things He told them was the command to go and teach all nations. The word was ‘go ye’. Go ye from where? Go ye from the church. The church has become a place of comfort and rest for many Christians, such that they only move from home to church. Please if this is your lifestyle then you are not honouring the word go ye. It is a command to be obeyed
The word is go ye into all the nations. The word nations is the Greek word ‘ ethnos’ which means a group of persons with similar background. This could be a group of traders, footballers; tailors or it could also mean a nation like Ghana. It is a command to go to all kinds of groups and teach them.
Many Christians have not heeded to this command. No marketing man stays at his business centre expecting his products to get to the consumer. He goes out there and uses all means to convince wholesalers and retailers to buy them. In some cases, they are rejected at the first contact yet they keep coming back till the products are bought. Christians are also giving out the gospel to a lost world. We must be very passionate in giving out the gospel to our world.
Many Christians don’t reach out because they don’t know what to expect. They are always three or four things that may happen to you when you reach out. You must prepare yourself for any of these. They are as follows;
1.You may be rejected and not received outright. These don’t normally happen in places like Ghana.
2.You may find some who would receive you, but are filled with arguments to oppose you.
3. You may also meet those who would receive you and are ready to cooperate with you. These are the predominant group in Ghana.
4 There may also be some who may be violent. These ones are by far in the minority in our part of the world. There are some places that are extremely hostile to the preaching of the gospel yet the message must surely go.
Dear brother or sister Apostle Paul develops his thoughts about the importance of preaching in the following manner.
Rom 10:14 KJV “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?”
You must go. My last advice to help you in this call to go into the would is to pair up with other brethren. You can have a team of three of you to always go out to share the word Jesus disciples went as teams of two or three. Paul did the same. Let the gospel go.
THOUGHT: THE GOSPEL IS THE POWER OF GOD TO SAVE OUR WORLD GIVE IT OUT.
