KEY SCRIPTURE: John 6:38 KJV” For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.”
Everything has its purpose for which it was made. Spoons are to be used for eating and not for cutting anything. Every child of God has been sent to do a particular task for God. You are only fulfilled if you engage in doing that task. Apostle Paul expressed the following longing of his heart. Phil 3:12 “Not that I have already obtained, or am already made perfect; but I press on, that I may take hold of that for which also I was taken hold of by Christ Jesus.”
This should be our philosophy of living as children of God. This is all that living is about.
Success is doing what God has called you to do. The Lord said, I came from heaven to do the will of God.
In verse 13 of Philippians 3 Paul says he never considers himself to have gotten hold of it but presses forward, laboring and working tirelessly so that he would get to it. Fulfilling the will of God, always has a reward, or a glory to obtain. The reward or prize has a mark, that one has to attain, before the reward is given to him. This is exactly what the master said in Joh 4:34, Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work. Dear one, the call was not just to do the will or the task, but to finish it. Finishing means there is a time frame to get the work done. The Lord also said in Joh 9:4 that ” I must work the works of him who sent me while it is day. The night is coming, when no one can work”. The Lord says, He has been sent, and by this He acknowledges He is a servant.
It is servants who have a sense of doing what has been assigned to them.
Accept that you are a servant
Dear one, do you realise you are here on a particular assignment? Do you know the task given to you? Have you come to terms to know there is a time frame to complete the work; and that if you do not get it done during that time frame, you would have woefully failed? You would be only fulfilled if you do the task committed to you. You would also receive your crown for being faithful to what God has called you to do.
Now, barring all other tasks, the one main task or assignment that our Heavenly Father has sent every one of us to fulfill is to win souls.
Jesus calls it the father’s business. Apostle Paul says, woe is me if I preach not the gospel 1 Corinth 9:16. The Lord Jesus says to us that, as the Father has sent me even so do I send you. John 17:18.
Soul winning is God’s highest engagement for every child of God.
Give yourself totally to this call.
THOUGHT: BE PASSIONATE ABOUT SOULS, FOR THAT IS THE 🔥FIRE THAT KEEPS YOU GOING.
