CHARACTER STUDY: MOSES 16

Exodus 7:19 ” And the LORD spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone”.

Please note that Moses kept a direct communication line with the Lord God. We need to maintain a strong fellowship with the Lord if we   desire to be very useful to Him.

The Lord told him to say to Pharaoh, “Let my people go that they may serve me in the wilderness…”. This was repeated by Moses each time he appeared before Pharaoh. There are many times that the enemy seems to be very resistant to our commands. In such times we must not give up in making God’s word known to him. If there is a condition in your life that seems not to change, please don’t stop resisting with the word of God. James 4:7 says “submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you”. Apostle Peter also said a similar statement, 1st Peter 5:9 “whom resist steadfast in the faith….”. Satan must not be tolerated; he is a destroyer he must be violently resisted. Maintain your tempo or go higher, but please don’t give up on your opposition to him. We would learn in Moses story that, he kept repeating that same word, let my people go and worship me.

What is the devil doing in your life? Is it about your health? Keep telling him the Lord Jesus himself took your infirmities and he cannot put them on you and so you refuse to have them. Is it about your children who are not doing well in school or becoming very stubborn? Tell the devil those children are not his and cannot have any part in them. Keep declaring these words. Please note: Satan is an eternal loser and holding your grounds means he is just getting closer to failure and exiting your case. You are only defeated if you give up.

In Exodus 7:19 Moses began plaguing Egypt. The first was the turning of all waters in Egypt into blood. Every water source, and even stored water in cups turned into blood. This meant all water creatures would die. Pharaoh’s magicians were able to counterfeit it, yet the impact of the plague was very bad on the Egyptians. They could not drink water. It is indeed a terrible thing to fall into the judgement of God.

You only disturb yourself if you get rebellious towards God.

  CONFESSION

I never give up resisting the devil, knowing very well that i would at the end be the winner.

FURTHER STUDIES

Acts 9:5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

Luke 18:7-8 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
