KEY SCRIPTURE: Exodus 7:9 When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, shew a miracle for you: then thou shalt say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent.
Read through Exodus 7:4-9
The Lord asked Moses to start doing signs and wonders when king Pharaoh requests for it. The Lord asked him to throw his rod down so it will become a serpent. God is a supernatural God and so signs and wonders should be part of our experiences. Christianity without the miraculous is a mere religion. Faith in God is the virtue that unfolds the miraculous.
The bible reveals the exploits of faith in the following verse. (Hebrews 11:33-34) “who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of aliens”. These are miraculous deeds and God is very excited to do these deeds in the midst of His children. It is faith in God that makes all these possible. Make a decision to work on your faith and miracles, signs and wonders would be your daily experience. Please note, it takes miraculous power to make certain impossible situations possible.
In the story, Moses and Aaron performed this miracle yet Pharaoh’s magicians did the same. Moses rod swallowed all the rods of the Egyptian magicians that became serpents. What we realise in the above episode is that, God did not tell them of the challenge or opposition that would happen, although He told them to perform the miracle. He did not tell them Pharaoh’s magicians would do as they had done.
Dear children of God, God normally does not tell or reveal to you the challenges that may come on our way to where He has asked you to go. In Mark 4 the Lord Jesus after teaching the disciples asked them to go to the other side of the lake (Mark 4:35). On their way there was a mighty storm that threatened their lives, but the Lord stood and calmed it. The Lord only asked them to go to the other side but did not make mention of the impending storm. In Moses story, His rod swallowed the Egyptian magicians’ serpents. Please note this NO MATTER THE CHALLENGES THAT SATAN MAY RAISE AGAINST YOU; THE DEVIL WILL ALWAYS LOSE AT THE LONG RUN. YOUR VICTORY IS THE PROMISE, HOLD TO IT.
Your only responsibility is to trust the Lord and never to doubt him.
God and me are always the majority, no matter the opposition that rises against me. I ‘m continually a winner because He honours whatever He has said.
1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
1 John 5:4 “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”
