LABOR TO ENTER INTO HIS REST

KEY SCRIPTURE: Hebrews 4:11 KJV” Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.”

To be at rest, is to be free from anxiety, fear and any other form of self-induced stresses. It is never the desire of God our Father that any of his children should be destressed.

John 16:33 KJV These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Our key scripture tells us to labour to enter into His rest. It means you must be diligent with the word of God. Our world has been hit by distressing times, and you should not be carried away with the spirit of worry, fear and anxiety. This is never your portion.

To enter into God’s rest, you must mix the word with faith. Hebrews 4:3 KJV “For we which have believed do enter into rest….” To labour to enter into His rest is to make sure you do not allow the negative fearful news to fill your heart. You must act on every word of God concerning every situation. The life of David was under threat by king Saul, yet he was never moved. He made God his shepherd, and so he says l do not have any want. He added even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. David had grown to place his life into God’s hands. He had no cares to carry. His business was to do that which would please the Lord.

Walking in your rest is not just knowing the scriptures, but making the scriptures to work in your life. If the Bible says God is your refuge, stop worrying about how fast the disease is spreading. God is dependable. If He has kept the universe and the sun rising and settling daily because of His word, then He can take care of you, if only you trust Him. Decide you would not worry but to praise Him because He can’t fail you.

PRAYER

Thank you, heavenly father for all your care and provisions. In such times I place my trust in you, O God. I do not worry nor fret about anything. Thank you, father, for the certainty of your word. In Jesus name I pray.
