BOLDLY SAY WHAT THE WORD SAYS ABOUT YOU.

KEY SCRIPTURE: John 6:41 KJV” The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven.”

Throughout the life of our Lord Jesus, the greatest opposition he faced was the reaction of the Jews to the things He said about Himself. He was crucified not because of anything He did, but because of what He said. In Matt 26:64,65, the Lord during His trial at the premises of the chief priest answered that He would be seen sitting on the right hand of power, and descending with the clouds of glory. The high priest rent his clothes and said the Lord must be crucified for speaking blasphemy. In John 18:37, the Lord said to Pilate that, He was born to testify to the truth.

Sadly, men always oppose the truth. Why is this so? The whole world has been deceived by the devil, that old serpent, called Satan (Rev 12:9). The world view of men is sharpened by the Prince of the power of the air (Eph 2:2)

The concept that Satan has made man to think of himself is,” I am a man, an ordinary mortal, helpless at evil, with no supernatural ability. If anyone comes with a view of liberation from this way of thinking then he is blasphemous, proud and must be stopped. The other lie of the devil is, if a man should claim invincibility, then it is his personal potential not from any Saviour.

When Jesus said He came from heaven they argued, we know His mother and His father, who is Joseph, when did He ever go to heaven to descend from there? This state of affairs did not stop the Lord from saying who He was. He kept declaring I am the light of the world, he that follows me shall have the light of life and shall not walk in darkness (John 8:12). He even forgave sin, and they asked why does this one forgive sin?

Why would the Lord not heed to their resistances and opposition?

1. He knew what He was saying was the truth.

2. He knew that performances and realization of aspirations come from believing the truth and boldly saying it Rom 10:9,10 ,2 Corinth 4;13, Mark 11:23

3. He knew that one of the ways to break the power of Satan over men was to speak the truth that God has said

In the light of all that we have read earlier how do we relate to world? We must know what God has said about us, and acknowledge that, it is the truth.

We must prepare our minds for any worldly opposition because they are speaking under Satan’s influence,

We must boldly speak the words of truth, which may not sound reasonable to the world yet would certainly produce results because they are inspired words of God.

CONFESSION

God is my Father, and I overcome the world for the greater one lives in me. The Holy Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead has given life to my body, and so life reigns in me. Sickness and diseases have no place in me. His life in me us my light to quench every darkness of evil. My light keeps shinning in a dark and sinful world.

THOUGHT:  I WILL KEEP SPEAKING THE WORDS OF GOD, FOR THEY ARE THE HIGHEST LAWS OF THE UNIVERSE.
