DO NOT MURMUR 2

KEY SCRIPTURE: John 6:43 KJV “Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.”

Murmuring is making sounds undertone, yet it involves speaking negative words. The bible places it among evil speaking. Ephesians 4:31 KJV “Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:” We are advised to put such speaking away from us. In Mark 7:20, the Lord said from out of within the heart proceed, evil thought and other wrong actions. He concluded His point in verse 23 by saying, All these things come from within and defile the man. To ‘defile’ means to make common ,or make unclean. This is the reason devils find murmuring individuals, easy, or ready habitations to dwell in.

The next thing you must know about murmuring is that it is a sin. The bible says in Romans 14:23 that, whatsoever action that is not of faith is sin. This makes the act of murmuring very serious. The danger of it is that it challenges the wisdom and integrity of God. Just consider the following strong words God used for those who were murmuring in Moses’ day. Psalms 78:8 KJV “And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not stedfast with God.”  Murmurers are

1. Stubborn

2. Rebellious

3. Do not set their hearts aright unto God

4. Their spirit is not stedfast with God

The next danger of murmuring is that, it establishes the very wrong thing the individual says, in his or her own life. The principle of salvation says when one believes a truth and confesses with his lips it manifests in his or her life. Romans 10:9,10 ; Mk 11:23. Murmuring proceeds from believing that negative thought about a thing and then muttering it on your lips.

In this way, you have established the spiritual principle of bringing the condition into reality in your very life.

If you murmur about a delayed child birth or any other thing, you establish that delay further in your life.

Now where are some areas of life that people do murmur?

1. When their expectations seem to fail.

2. When people do not understand the actions of their leaders and superiors

3. When adversity hit at people, example failure of some kind.

4. When certain tasks seem too much for one to do

5. When subjects become unbearable and unnecessarily difficult.

This happens, mostly to pastors, leaders or bosses.

If it has to do with people causing you to murmur, then pray for them.

If it relates to God, then thank Him for making all things well.

If it is about a difficult task, then declare you can do all things through Christ which strengthens you.

Just make up your mind never to murmur

THOUGHT: MURMURING IS A CHOICE, SO REFUSE TO MURMUR
