KEY SCRIPTURE: Eph 2:8 KJV “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:”
Welcome to 2023, a year that promises to be very eventful and exciting. Our key scripture tells us about certain three important words that bring us a great amount of assurance to move into the year. The words are
1. SAVED
2. GRACE
3. FAITH
IT said, “we are saved.” The context of this verse is about the saving of our souls from sin to become partakers of eternal life. I also wish that we consider this word saved in the light of the days ahead of us.
Saved talks about security, health, prosperity, peace, deliverance, and general preservation of all forms. This is what the scripture offers us. It tells us that we can have these life securities or preservation if we are to appropriate the other two words that follow the word saved, as we have put forth.
The next word of consideration is grace. Grace is about God’s favor that He bestows on us. In our salvation, our Lord Jesus bore our sins and died for us. This provided a fitting ground to come to God without any sense of guilt. The grace of God is also seen in everything that a man would need for preservation. In talking about God’s grace, He always does or provides all that man would need to be ‘saved’ in whatever area we need that preservation. Talking about health, our healing is fully provided and settled. Jesus himself took our infirmities and bore our diseases. Isaiah 53:4,5, 1 Peter 2:24. We are not to look for healing It has been already provided. Grace says you are already healed. We have also received all things for life and godliness. This is all by grace. Every blessing you would need in 2023 is already provided by grace. Remember before man was created God had created EVERYTHING, man would need. This is the way God deals with, us. Be thankful for God’s goodness.
The last word to be considered is FAITH. Faith is not just what we do for God to respond, but it is basically appropriating the provisions of grace. Faith says God has already provided it, and so I take possession of it. It is an assurance of what God has supplied by grace and remaining thankful for it because you have it. The challenge for entering our salvation is our ability to renew our minds to fully settle it, in our hearts that these blessings are already ours. The second challenge is to overcome the enemy who attempts to distract us from possessing what is ours. This calls for diligence and violence in the Spirit. Matt 11:12 KJV” And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.” Salvation in any form would be ours as we diligently appropriate the abundant provision of all things(grace). Be a consistent winner in 2023. No matter the challenge If your faith says yes, you have it, for God has already provided that thing. Stop begging God to do things, but, receive them by faith, and thank God always for giving those things to you.
CONFESSION
Thank you, dear heavenly Father, for all your abundant love, in providing everything we need for victory in this life. My faith says yes to your word. My faith takes a hold of every provision made available according to your word. 2023, is a victorious year for me. 2023 is a fulfilling year for me.
This year, I will do exploits for God, in Jesus’ name.
THOUGHT: GOD HAS FINISHED HIS PART; LET’S BE DILIGENT TO ENTER OUR REST.
