KEY SCRIPTURE: Gal 5:18 KJV” But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.”

In our previous studies, we saw how deceptive life in the soul could be. A soulish life, as we saw, focuses on the individual. To be free from it, one must acknowledge that he or she is crucified with Jesus. He died the very first day he came into Christ. Gal 2:20. He must realise he does not do anything for himself or for men to applaud him. In Christ, we have put on Jesus and we do everything in His name, for Him, and for His glory. The self, which is seen in all those soulish activities gives no life. It is the spirit, that gives or makes life, and that the flesh, or the self profits nothing. John 6:63.

As we draw the curtains on 2022, making way for 2023, may we put off every deception that the self tries to convey to us? May we keep iterating this truth to our consciousness that, we are instruments for the Lord’s glory. We are not in any way taking any glory for ourselves. God by virtue of His grace has adorned us with His power and glory, to show the world, His manifold wisdom. This should not fill our heads, causing us to divert attention to ourselves. The sad truth is that we become cheap victims of the enemy when we divert our attention to ourselves. The battle is the Lord’s, the glory and power are all His. 1 Sam 17:47.

The Lord said if any man would come after me, let him hate all relations, and his very life and come follow me. Make the new year a Jesus year. A moment to do all things for Him, and to His honour. You are only victorious when you lift Him high.  Remember David, who constantly won all battles, because, he never fought for himself. He fought in the name of the Lord, and so could never be defeated. 1 Sam 17:47 KJV “And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD’S, and he will give you into our hands.” You would also win all your battles.

Thank you, Lord Jesus. You saved me to reveal your glory in me. I am totally committed to bringing you honour in all I do. I do nothing for my praise or honour. All that I do is for you and your glory alone. May your name be glorified forever.
