LOVING IS LIBERTY

KEY SCRIPTURE: Galatians 5:22 KJV “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith”,

Our key scripture says the fruit of the Spirit is love. The subsequent qualities are the products of love. That is why, the scripture did not say the fruits are but said, the fruit is. The verse 23 adds that “…. against such, there is no law. This means when a man has the love of God being demonstrated in his life, no matter where or when he manifests this fruit no law can hold him. Love indeed sets a man free.

In Matthew 22:36–39, when the Lord was asked what is the greatest commandment. He answered you shall love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, all thy soul and all thy mind. He added that the second is to love thy neighbor as yourself. It is a common fact that many people do not love their neighbors. Why is this so? People do not truly love themselves. Now listen, no worried man loves himself. No man who gets easily offended loves himself or herself. A person who is fearful does not love. All these tendencies are self destructive ones. The truth is man is helpless at overcoming these things. What is the way out.? How can a man truly love himself enough to love his neighbor?

HE needs to surrender the rule of himself to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Selfishness is an unseen prison that robs men of true liberty. Selfishness is the prime enemy of love and the mother of all sorrows. Jesus died to free men from selfishness. No man who is not liberated from selfishness can truly love his neighbor. Marital relationships that started beautifully would end on the rocks if parties are not free from selfishness. You need to make Jesus, the Lord of your life. Jesus becoming Lord, means freedom from yourself to become a slave of Jesus, therefore, you can likewise love your neighbor as yourself. A Christian who does not truly surrender to the Lordship of Jesus shall have serious challenges relating to others.

CONFESSION

Jesus is the Lord of my life. I am free from every self-centeredness and I love my neighbor as myself. Love breeds joy, peace, longsuffering and gentleness, etc in me.

DON’T KILL YOUR SPOUSE

KEY SCRIPTURE :1 Corinthians 13:4 KJV” Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up”,

DON’T KILL your spouse, why such a title? Today is St Valentine’s day, and the whole world is talking about love. One place or institution where love is supposed to be the atmosphere for its survival is the family. Unfortunately, real love is absent in most marriages and couples are killing and hurting each other.

I wish to share a story to explain my point. A brother once called me and gave me a number of a lady. He told me this lady wants to commit suicide and that, he wants me to counsel her. I asked why would she commit suicide? He answered that, he lived with her husband, but kept raining curses upon curses on him. She could say, you would die in a car accident. Indeed, the man was involved in a car accident and died. This incident haunted her so much that she wanted to end her life.

Many couples have a very wrong understanding of love. Love is not selfish but selfless. Love seeks the perfect good of the second party. Love is very concerned and sensitive to the peace and comfort of the second party. A number of couples are used to very harsh, vulgar words coming either from both parties or one member. If you live like this, you would soon kill the one at the receiving end. If both parties live this way, you would destroy the weaker one or each other. (THIS LIFESTYLE IS STRANGE TO CHILDREN OF GOD) Meet doctors in consulting rooms and most of their patients with very high pressures, proceed from happenings in their homes.

Marriage was designed by our Father God to be a place of support and complements, not a place of getting even at each other. He said I will make a helper meet for him (Gen.2:18) Wife, you are a helper to your husband, and the husband, you are also a helper to your wife. Wife don’t neglect this role to become over burdening. Husband don’t neglect your role to become overburdening. Give long life to each other by complementing each other’s needs. Kill your ego rather, and not your spouse.

CONFESSION

I truly love my spouse. I am not selfish but selfless. No harsh unrestrained words proceed from me. I am very considerate and kill my ego. I have a blessed home.

NOT ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL

KEY SCRIPTURE: Romans 1:16 KJV “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek”.

To be shy about anything, is to be apprehensive about doing that thing because of an anticipation of failure, or reproach that others may raise against you.  It normally sterns from having a very low persuasion about the potency and the ability of that thing to do what it says. One’s personal suspicion of inefficiency in doing the task of communicating the gospel can also cause him or her to be shy. Apostle Paul says he does not entertain any form of shyness about the gospel, because it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes. This statement implies there is no other power available to save men than the gospel.

HOW can one overcome the shyness of sharing the gospel?

1.Convince yourself about the indispensable responsibility of sharing the gospel.

2. Settle it fully in your heart that when talking to people about the gospel you would encounter two main responses, and you should be prepared for any of them. They are, either you would be accepted or rejected period.

3.Spend time daily in prayer and in the study of the word and the Holy Spirit would

stir in you a boldness to share the gospel.

4.Get another Christian with whom you would reach out to share the gospel with others. (Luke 10:1)

5.Consider all the young boys and girls who defiantly do abominable things in the open, and let that stir in you a holy anger to also defy every hindrance to share the gospel.

6.Remember what the Lord said, if you are shy to talk to men about him, He would likewise fail to talk to the angels about you.

Luke 12:8 KJV” Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God”:

7.Remember that the faint hearted have no part in the kingdom of God but rather shall be in the lake of fire. (Rev 21:8)

Dear brother or sister the cost of not sharing the gospel is too high. Apostle Paul says woe is me if I don’t share the gospel (1st Corinth 9:16) The Rewards of willingly sharing the gospel is immense. (John 4:36) Considering all that has been said above, refuse to be shy and share the gospel with as many that you would encounter.

CONFESSION

The gospel remains the power of God to save the lost. I refuse to be shy to share it. I share it and even compel men to respond to church services without any sense of shame.

MAINTAIN A SUPERIORITY CONSCIOUSNESS OVER THE DEVIL

KEY SCRIPTURE: Luke 10:19 KJV” Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

Among the many things our Lord Jesus came to do on this earth, He also came to destroy the works of the devil. (1st John 3:8) This he perfectly executed. God almighty is now making Satan a footstool for the Lord. Mark 12:36 KJV” For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool”. How is God going to achieve this? He is doing this through the church, and that is through you and me. Eph 3:10 KJV “To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,”

The Lord conquered the devil for us and we must enforce His victory on the earth. We must carry this victory

consciousness always. Together with Jesus we spoiled principalities and made a public show of them, triumphing over them. (Colossians 2:15). With the Lord we destroyed the devil who had the power of death. (Heb 2:14). The 0blood of Jesus remains a perpetual victory over Satan for us (Rev 12:11)

According to Eph 2:6, we are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus far above every principality and power. This should be your thinking. Every day and moment think of Satan and his demons as far below you. NOTE: YOU ARE ONE WITH Jesus. When I talk about you, I mean the new creation that proceed from Christ. (2nd Corinth 5:17-18). Let these things be your confession. Never ever say. Satan is molesting or making you sick. Stop complaining about how the devil is limiting you. You are superior, and how can he molest his master? This is not possible. You rather approve of his lying works when you attest to what he is doing in your life.

CONFESSION

I am a new creation in Jesus, and I proceed from the Father. As one with the Lord I am superior to Satan and his devils. I am seated in Christ in heavenly places, far above all of them. I bring deliverance to anyone held by the devil.

‘GOD HAS NO FAVORITES’

KEY SCRIPTURE: Acts 10:34 KJV “Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:”

God our Father loves every one of us with the same love. Unfortunately, some children of God believe, others have a special standing before God, and so their prayers would be heard, and not theirs. This is not true. John 17:23 KJV” I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me .”The Lord  is saying that God the father loves us just as He loves Him the son.

Please are you included in the phrase ‘has loved them?’ Yes, certainly, every Christian is part of’ the ‘them’. When you gave your life to Jesus you became the very righteousness of God. (2nd Corinth 5:21) Righteousness is God’s nature that He imparted to your spirit. It gives you access to stand in His presence without any sense of guilt or sin. It is just like Jesus in the presence of the father. No one has a higher righteousness then anyone. We all have the same. Please consider Jesus statement in the following verse. Matthew 7:8 KJV” For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened”. Are you one of the anyone? A delay does not mean, God has not heard and attended to your prayer.

When praying, we do so in the name of Jesus (John 16:23). This makes every body’s request go to the Father as Jesus Himself. A person’s gift does not in any way make his prayers anymore weightier than yours. God has no favorites. What you need to do, is to develop a deeper personal fellowship with the father. This would raise your confidence and faith in Him. As the Lord prayed and said, I thank you Father, that you hear me always. You should boldly say the same. Stop believing that God would listen to others, and not you.

PRAYER

Thank you, Father, that you do not have favorites. You always hear me when I pray. As the righteousness of God, I have a perfect standing before your throne and it gives me an unhindered access to receive answers to my prayers.

LIVING IN YOUR ANSWER

KEY SCRIPTURE: Mark 5:39 KJV “And when he was come in, he saith unto them, why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.”

The Lord was invited by Jairus to heal his daughter who was sick. The Lord set off with him, to go to his house to heal the girl. On the way messengers from Jairus house came to tell him that, he should not disturb the Lord because the daughter was dead. The Lord asked him not to be afraid, but only believe. When they got to the house, the Lord Jesus saw many people crying and wailing The Lord announced, why make all this noise, the child is not dead but is sleeping. (Mark 5:36-41)

The Lord was showing us how to activate our faith to change impossible circumstances. He was living in the answer. To change impossible situations, you do not wait for conditions to change, you start celebrating the answer. You live in the answer. You do this by the words you say and the definite steps you take. David asked what shall be done to the man who kills Goliath? (1st Samuel 17:26) He did not complain about how terrible Goliath appeared. He had moved from how to fight him to what will be done for the man who would kill him.

Romans 4:17, reveals that God quickens the dead and calls those things which be not as though they were. This is the act of living in the answer. What is your challenge?  Stop talking about the seriousness of that sickness and thank God for healing you. Stand up from the sick bed and keep thanking God for good health. If You have a financial need, then stop talking about that need and declare, the Lord is my shepherd and have that need met. (Psalm 23:1). What is your challenge in life at the moment? Move away from your present difficulty and start celebrating your answer. Talk to that mountain, you have moved away in Jesus name. Keep saying that word to the condition. This is God’s principle of turning situations around for your good.

CONFESSION

Thank you, Father, for victory in Jesus name. Every situation turns around for my good as I celebrate my answer, and refuse to see the difficulty or talk about the difficulty. There is nothing impossible to me. I am very prosperous and I am blessing many lives. I am healed and very strong. I reign in life in Jesus name.

THINGS TO WAIT FOR AND THOSE TO POSSESS BY FAITH.

KEY SCRIPTURE: Habakkuk 2:3 KJV” For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”

The Lord gave the prophet Habakkuk a vision and asked him to write it down. Secondly, he asked him to wait for it, for it was for an appointed time. The word appointed time also means a set time. In our dealings with God we have events which God in His wisdom has set up specific timings for them. There are also circumstances that God has fully fulfilled in Christ, that one, needs not to wait for, but to believe and walk in it. One must know the difference.

The initial outpouring of the Holy Spirit was for a specific time and so the apostles and disciples had to wait for it. Act 1:4 KJV” And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me “. There are certain promises God tells us which are to be fulfilled in the future. In such cases, you must wait. So long as God gave you that prophecy, never give up on it, wait for it. Do not give up on anything that God promised to do in the future. Keep praying the promise into being. (1st Timothy 1:18)

There are other events which Christ Jesus through His sufferings and death has obtained for us. They include our healing, prosperity, deliverance from the power of sin, security, peace and many more. These ones are not set for the future. They have already been fulfilled. You do not wait for them, rather you possess them by faith and confess them into reality. Satan may raise resistances to you, but don’t be moved, the result is forever settled in heaven (Psalm 119:89-90). Do not hope for a scriptural provision which has already being fulfilled. Don’t say I am believing God for it. Note this: It is only that which you possess by faith that would ultimately manifest to you. Know the difference between the things you wait for and the things you possess by faith.

CONFESSION

Thank you, Father, for your love. I take full possession of every provision that our Lord Jesus death has made available for me. I also wait patiently for every specific prophecy you have made to me.

UNTO THE MEASURE AND STATURE OF JESUS CHRIST

KEY SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 4:13 KJV “Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ”:

Among the many things that the fivefold ministry is to achieve among the believers is to bring all Christians to the measure and stature of the fulness of our Lord Jesus. Our Lord Jesus is our ultimate example. It is not even the apostles. We must not use any failure on the part of any of the apostles in the period of the Bible days as our standard. The Lord Jesus is our standard.

The scripture talks about every one of us getting to that high standard of our Lord Jesus Christ. As children of God we must stop wallowing in shallow waters to get deeper.

Please understand the call that we have. We are not attempting to become like Him. He is already living in us. (Col 1:26,27) We are one with His spirit,1Corinth 6:17 KJV” But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit”. The very Spirit that lives in us is Christ. We are like him in every way. We have the authority of His name to use. Mark 16:17 KJV” And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;” This authority in His name gives us audience in the Father’s presence like the Lord Himself. Demons will also give the same dread and torment in the mention of His name like Jesus was physically present.

The work of the apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers is to bring us to the awareness of these things. It will build in the Christian that level of the truth, that makes him unshakable in the face of any form of satanic activities. The children of God would go forth and deliver the oppressed. Dear child of God by the knowledge of all that has been said above acknowledge who you are and the immense provision of power available to you. Take your place and start blessing human lives like our Lord Jesus did. It is the Father’s good pleasure to have all His sons manifesting the same power and life of Jesus.

CONFESSION

Thank you, Father, for all the wonderful provisions in Jesus. I am one with His spirit. I make use of the authority of the name of Jesus and every devil bows. Many who are held captive are set free and made whole. I am shinning all around. Praise the Lord.

WHAT IS YOUR NAME?

KEY SCRIPTURE: Genesis 32:27 KJV” And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob”.

The story behind our key scripture is, Jacob was afraid to meet his embittered brother Esau. He wrestled with an angel for the whole night, after which he asked the angel to bless him. The angel rather asked of his name? Names normally portray the character of people. I wish to ask you, what is your name? It does not matter your title, position, office or what you do. You may be struggling with a bad behavior, habit or what men would call some weakness of some kind. Does the Lord agree that His children exhibit weakness and sinful behaviours? What does he say? Matthew 5:48 KJV “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect”.

HOW can any man fulfill this instruction from the Lord? Dear child of God please get this point clear; the Lord would not ask us to do what we can’t do, or He would not ask us to do what He has not made provision for its achievement. Our Lord Jesus through His death has done a perfect work that qualifies us for a very victorious and excellent life.(Col 1:12, 2nd Peter 1:3) Please note also that our Lord Jesus through His death, destroyed, the power of sin in our lives and overpowered Satan and his cohorts for us.

(Colossians 2:11-15).

As a woman takes the name of the man through a wedding ceremony, everyone baptized into Christ have taken on the name of Christ, and every victory of Jesus is theirs (Galatians 3:27). You no longer answer to that old name of sinfulness and weakness. You have the perfections of Christ as yours, and you live with that awareness. 2nd Corinth 5:17 KJV ” Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”. You are not in the flesh but in the Spirit (Romans 8:9). Accept your new status, that is of Christ and is now called Christ and live with that awareness. You don’t have any weakness, sinfulness, lust anymore in your new nature. You rather help those who are weak to leave the flesh realm to also live out the life of Christ.

CONFESSION.

I am baptized into Christ and so I have put on Christ. I am one with Him, in His holiness, one with Him in his love for all men, one with Him in His supernatural power to cast out devils. I am forever victorious with Jesus.

BE MODERATE TO ALL

KEY SCRIPTURE: Philippians 4:5 KJV” Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand”.

I watched a video in which an evangelist preaching at a market, insulted a man who offended him. I asked, why should a preacher of the gospel be so vulgar, even at the point of delivering the word of God? Many of us Christians are not patient with one another at various points.  This occurs mostly in our homes. It is also, at times worse on the road when Christians motorists can’t be patient with other motorists. You would be surprised to find a Christian raining insults on another motorist because he made a mistake. Get to some hospitals, and a Christian nurse may mishandle a helpless patient.

Our key scripture says, be moderate with all men, for the Lord is at hand. The spirit of the Christian is a moderate and tender spirit: that is our nature. Take some moments to consider the nature of the spirit who has taken over our being. (Galatians 5:22_23) The problem of most of us is that, we have not become conscious of our true personality. Dear child of God, you ceased to be Mr. Y, or Madam B, from the day you gave your life to Christ. You became Christ Mr. B, or Christ Madam Y. Living that sweet, beautiful life of Christ is not strange to us. That is who we are. Christ has taken an abode in us.

Please, just consider what the Holy Spirit admonishes us in Ephesians 4:24 KJV “And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness”. There is a new man of love, a new man in us who has the ability to be patient. It is his nature to be considerate with all persons. He is very gentle and patient. Many homes of Christians are unnecessarily burning up. This ought not be so. Allow the new man, the Christ in you to lead and control affairs of your life, and your home and others you relate with will glorify God for your sake. The Lord is at hand.

CONFESSION

It is Christ alive in me. I am kind, gentle, considerate, sincere and loving. I bring joy and peace wherever I go because the Spirit of Christ is the one that controls me. I have control over my temper and my words.
