KEY SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 6:18 KJV” Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints”;

Apostle Paul after talking about putting on various parts of the armor of God, added that the believer must pray always. In his discourse he does not refer prayer to any specific part of the armor yet admonishes the believer to pray always. 1st Thessalonians 5:17, says pray without ceasing. Prayer should not be an adhoc practice. It must be consistent. Prayer should not just be a religious practice, but a vital activity that one does because, it yields results. Please note, religion is any lifestyle that one does certain practices to satisfy his conscience that he has pleased the Lord. . Christian activities are not religious. They are activities done through the agency of the Holy Spirit that brings real changes or transformations in an individual’s life. The scripture said, pray in the Holy Ghost.

Please note this, A PRAYERFULLY PREPARED PERSON PREVAILS PERPETUALLY. This was demonstrated by our Lord Jesus. He prepared his future ministry through prayer. He spent forty days in prayer and fasting. He was so consistent in His life of prayer that His disciples asked Him to teach them to pray. (Luke 11:1) In Luke 18:1 He gave a parable to this wise that men ought always to pray and not to faint. Life is spiritual, and no man must be casual about life. Prayer is a high spiritual activity that engages God the divine one in the affairs of mortal men. Some people claim, there are certain people in certain communities who do not pray at all yet things are getting on well with them. Dear reader please listen attentively to this. The most vital and important aspect of men’s life on the earth is not how good things are or is experiencing, but rather, what is the state of the soul of man in relation to God. Most of these people are spiritually dead. What does it profit a man, if he gains the whole world and lose his soul?

Make prayer a vital part of your life. Pray from your heart to the Lord. The word prayer is from the Greek word. ‘prosechomai’. This literally means, to turn your desire towards God. Prayer is an expression of your desire unto the Lord. This is the reason the Bible says. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. (James 5:16). The amplified bible put it this way, the earnest (heartfelt continued) prayer of a righteous man, makes tremendous power available, dynamic in its working. Your desire is very paramount in making strong effective prayers.

PRAYER

Thank you, heavenly father for the privilege of prayer. I receive divine intervention into every condition as I pray diligently. Through intercessory prayers many lives are touched and converted.
