KEY SCRIPTURE: Matthew 8:18 KJV “Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave commandment to depart unto the other side.”

The Lord was enjoying a very successful ministry as would be described about ministries of today, yet he was never overtaken by the deception of that kind of success. He had been sent to preach in a specified region over a period of time. He had to finish it. John 4:34 KJV “Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.” Success is never when every body is praising or applauding you. It is always doing what God has asked you to do.

In our key scripture, there was a great multitude that could have easily absorbed the ego of the master, yet, He did not allow a thing of that nature to happen to Him. The lord was not here for any other thing than to obey specific orders and instructions given to him by the Father God. We would be rewarded for what He asked us to do, and not what made us feel good or even what brought us a lot of money. You must always ask yourself, what has God asked me to do?

Focus allows you to concentrate your full energies on the work at stake, producing maximum results. In this modern world, the number of people lost in sin compared to those who are genuinely saved is very vast. The task to reach the unreached is so much. No one should be deceived by the congregation of large numbers. It is great to have multitudes congregating at one place yet like Jesus we must always look beyond.

The desire to win the lost till the end, must be our focus. 1Timothy 2:4 KJV (God)” Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth”. Everyone must be striving diligently to fulfill this call till Christ returns or he calls us home. Remember, work while it is day, for the night will surely come when no man can work. (John 9:4).

Why was our Lord so resilient in staying on the task the father had given to him?  The answer is in the following verse: Hebrews 10:7 KJV” Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.” His number one agenda on this earth was to do the will of the Father. Wisdom always demands that one does what he was created for. The confusion men find themselves in today is because they have decided to oppose the will of God for their lives. Secondly real freedom and fulfillment in this life is knowing the will of God and doing it.

Thirdly life is only meaningful when one knows the will of God and stays true to it. Any other thing or way is chasing after the wind. One sad truth I have discovered is that any man who opposes the will of God is under demonic influence. Unfortunately, they never see it that way, yet one simple sign, that they are under the influence of devils is the total absence of peace in their hearts. The final reason to keep focused on doing the will of God, is that God will reward you for doing that which pleases Him (2 Corinth 5:10)

CONFESSION

I have a very meaningful life, for I always do that which pleases Him. Doing the will of God is true freedom, for freedom is knowing what is right and doing it
