ACTING YOUR FAITH

KEY SCRIPTURE: Mark 2:5 KJV” When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins; be forgiven thee.”

YOUR faith will always make the difference. The four gentlemen in our story (Mark 2:1-12.) manifested fully their faith in God and that resulted in the healing of their brother. They were not prepared to allow anything or adverse situation to put them down. To consummate their faith, they had to climb up the roof: pull portions of the roof away and let down their brother. Their faith was very visible. The Lord saw their faith and responded to it. ” When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.” The Lord spoke to the man because he also believed. He allowed them to take him through all those unimaginable acts.

All things are always possible to them that believe. God is always moved by the faith men express in Him.

HOW do we act out our faith? It always depends on the prevailing situation. The following is what the word said about Abraham when Isaac was been expected to be born. (Read Rom 4:17–21)

1 Against hope he believed in hope that he might become the father of many nations.

2. He did not consider his body that was a hundred years old, nor the deadness of Sarah’s womb.

3. He focused on the promise, by not staggering at the promise of God. This means he kept assuring himself that what God had said to him was true

4. He continually glorified God

5. He called himself Abraham, which is father of many nations. Abraham expressed his faith by these systematic steps. The steps Abraham took are proven scriptural steps that would surely deliver your answer into your hands anytime you apply them.

ALL these acts of faith was imputed unto Abraham for righteousness. He ultimately received his son Isaac. The scriptures reveal that Abraham was justified or declared righteous because of his acts of faith. James 2:21 KJV “Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?” What actions are you supposed to take to enforce your stands of faith. Your first position is a very strong confidence in God. Any action taken without that confidence and an assurance in God is empty.. In actual fact it is this confidence in God that propels the children of God to do various incredible steps. David stood before Goliath and fearlessly announced to him, you come against me with swords and spears, but I come against you, in the name of the Lord of the armies of Israel whom you have defiled. As he made this utterance, he ran towards him and unleashed the stone from his catapult or sling. He made his positive confessions and followed up with positive actions that resulted in the killing of Goliath. You will not fail in your faith actions.

CONFESSION

I believe in God and in His word. My faith propels me to take incredible steps that receives a corresponding response from the father. By my believe I am justified, and by my confessions and actions my answers are delivered into my hands. Glory be to God.
