KEY SCRIPTURE: Proverbs 4:20-22 “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh”
Our next step to receiving answers to our prayers is to meditate constantly on the promises upon which we based the answer to our prayer.
Our key scripture admonishes us to attend to the word of God. This would be life to those that find them or put their confidence in the word and medicine or healing to all our flesh. God would certainly make His word good in your case. If it’s healing you need, for instance, God’s word says “…….Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses “(Matthew 8:17), and “…..with His stripes we are healed “(Isaiah 53:5)
If God’s word says He hears and answers prayers and if that word doesn’t depart from before your eyes, then you are bound to see yourself with the things you asked for. If you don’t see yourself with the things you desire, then God’s word has departed from before your eyes.
When our Lord Jesus went along with Jarius to heal his daughter, he (Jarius) was informed the daughter had died. Jesus turned to him and said “…….Be not afraid, only believe “(Mark 5:36) All that Jarius needed to do was to focus on Jesus and not on the report, that his daughter was dead.
If you don’t stand by the word, although God wants to stand by you, He can’t because the only way God works is through His word. God has bound Himself by His word. He has magnified His word above His name. (Psalm 138:2)
Jonah reminds us that those who observe lying vanities forsake their mercies (Jonah 2:8).
This means if you attend to symptoms and negative conditions, your mercies would leave you but if you stand by the word, God will stand by you.
THOUGHT: KEEP THE WORD IN SIGHT TO KEEP YOUR FAITH ALIVE.
CONFESSIONS
My focus is the word of God. I believe what God says. My life is an exciting one for I continually experience success and breakthroughs all through for the word in my heart and on my lips prevail over all.
