STEPS TO ANSWERED PRAYER 6

KEY SCRIPTURE: Philippians 4:6 “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God”

The next step to take to receive answers to your prayers is to lift your heart to God continually in increasing praise and gratitude for what He has done and for what He is doing for you now.

Our key scripture tells us “To be careful for nothing”. It means in nothing be anxious. It also means do not fret or have any anxiety about anything (Philippians 4:6 Amp)

As long as you fret and have anxiety all the praying and fasting in the world isn’t going to do any good. The rest of Philippians 4:6 says “With thanksgiving “. When you pray and make your request known to God, then you must thank Him for the answer. We are to pray with thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving is an act of faith. It acknowledges that God has already answered. Jesus at the tomb of Lazarus said “……Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me”. The Lord had not seen Lazarus raised physically yet He started thanking God for hearing him. This is one of the highest points of operating faith. Don’t wait to see every request answered, start thanking the Lord. 1st Thessalonians 5:18 reads ” In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you”. After you have done all that we have talked about earlier, the next is continually to thank the Lord for answering you.

The apostle Paul and Silas in the prison prayed and sang praises unto God and their deliverance was effected (Acts 16:25-26). Do not complain about your condition, rather ignore the enemy and his fake activities by thanking God and praising His name.

           CONFESSIONS

Praise be to the name of the Lord for your mercies and goodness unto me. In your name, I have overcome all the operations of the enemy. Thank you, Lord, for answering my request. Amen

THOUGHT: PRAISES AND THANKSGIVING HONOURS GOD AND PERFECT YOUR FAITH
