KEY SCRIPTURE: Mark 16:17 “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils…..”

Talking about devils and demons makes some people be hysterical or better still skeptical. Take it or leave it, devils and demons are very real and play a great role in the experiences and lives of people. As a minister of the gospel, I have encountered so many cases that at first sight had no association with devils but turned out to be caused by demons.

 Our key scripture assures that one of the signs that would accompany or prove that you have believed in Jesus is the ability to cast out devils in Jesus’ name. Please get this fact clear, it is not a sole duty or privilege of pastors, prophets, evangelists, or apostles to be able to cast out devils. Every believer has received the authority to do so. This authority is in the name of Jesus.

The Lord said in” Matthew 28:18 “……., All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”

     Our right to use His name is twofold:

1. He gave us the power of attorney to use His name. (Matthew 28:18-19, Mark 16:17)

2. We have inherited His name by virtue of our baptism into Him (Galatians 3:27) and new birth (Ephesians 1:18).

Every Christian must acknowledge this right and aggressively use His name against devils and demons.

According to Philippians 2:9-10, every knee should bow at the name of Jesus. Please don’t hesitate to use our Lord Jesus’ name against most situations that are adverse and make life uncomfortable. Many sicknesses have demonic causes and use the name of Jesus against them. Cast out the spirits of infirmity. I have often proved this by casting out these spirits of infirmity and the victims have left sound and hearty. The authority is in the name of Jesus, the power is in the presence of the Holy Spirit who would respond to the name of Jesus. (John 14:26, John 14:13-14).

Cast out spirits that control people’s actions and create problems at home. You can do this in the privacy of your room and the effect would be evidenced. Prayer has no barrier.

   PRAYER

Thank you, father, for the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus Christ. In His name every devil bows. Diverse situations caused by devils change as I exercise the mighty authority in Jesus’ name. No devil would limit, hurt or influence me because of the authority in His name.

THOUGHT: EVERY BELIEVER IN THE LORD JESUS, NOT NECESSARILY PASTORS, EVANGELISTS, APOSTLES HAVE THE RIGHT TO CAST OUT DEVILS IN JESUS NAME.
