KEY SCRIPTURE: Rom 8:16 WEB “The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God;”

From our key scripture, we see that there are fundamentally two spirits in every child of God, the spirit of the man, and then the Spirit of God This should be the case, although some children of God have other spirits that live in them. This is when a child of God gives place to an alien spirit to take an aspect of the believer’s body. Such spirits do not live in the Spirit of the child of God. This is not possible. The Spirit of a Christian is one with the spirit of Christ, and this makes His spirit superior to any other foreign spirit. A spirit can live within the mind or some aspect of his soul and influences the brother or sister to act against the word of God, or dwell in some aspect of the Christian’s body, causing sickness or weakness in a way. These evil influences can be cast out of the soul realm of the Christian, or from the body of the Christian, resulting in healing of the body. The above exposure explains why it is said a child of God cannot be possessed by a demon. To be possessed means your spirit has been taken over by a demon, which is not possible.

 The Holy Spirit is in the Christian as Lord.2Co 3:17 WEB” Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” The Holy Spirit comes to play the role of Jesus in the life of the Christian. John 14:16 KJV And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; The amplified bible gives the various roles of the comforter in our lives. Amplified Bible, Classic Edition John 14:16″ And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever—”

The child of God is called to fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Considering all these special roles of the Holy Spirit in the Christian, why should he or she ever fail in life? Every child of God must diligently seek to allow the Holy Spirit to play His various roles in His life. Most children of God use most of their time in prayer to ask for things or requests. We ought to spend some of the moments chatting with Him.  Ask him questions about everything concerning the Christian life.  Ask Him for His counsel concerning yourself and how you ought to do certain things. You can ask Him to teach you to heal the sick, and He will do it. Ask Him for His counsel concerning your next plans in life. The truth is most of us are under utilising the Holy Spirit.

CONFESSION

The Holy Spirit is my Lord. He is my teacher and perfect guide through this life. I have deep fellowship with Him, as I seek His candid views on various issues. I learnt to hear His voice so I can be in step with Him on various issues.
