THE SPIRIT OF MAN, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT 2

KEY SCRIPTURE:2Co 13:14 KJV” The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.”

The Holy Spirit is Jesus Christ unlimited. Our key scripture reveals the triune God in their specific roles in their dealings with the child of God. We see the grace of our Lord Jesus, demonstrated in His mission to save us, the love demonstrated by the Father in giving Jesus to die for, and the Holy Spirit who lives in us and fellowship with us. As the Lord said, it was expedient that He left, to the Father, so the Holy Spirit will take His place, but this time work through us. The Holy Spirit works in us as our coach, training us to assume the fullness of the nature of our Lord Jesus. We, the children of God must continue with what Jesus was doing but had to stop and die for us so we could be saved.

To be successful in fulfilling the work left to us, we have to know the Holy Spirit in a more intimate way. This we must do by being very conscious of His presence in us. Let’s get the following points clear, the Holy Spirit is in us, to guide, inspire, teach, and reveal Jesus to us. He is with us as our helper, protector, and a standby. He also comes upon us to anoint us for various tasks. The anointing may not be always, depending on how the child of response to specific promptings of the Spirit. The Lord consistently maintained the anointing because He was always in fellowship with the Spirit. He always acted to please the Holy Spirit. John 8:29 KJV “And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.” This statement referred to the Holy Spirit. When the child of God walks in the flesh or becomes self-willed, he may affect the operation of the anointing. In a few cases the Holy Spirit out of mercy for the people who are being ministered to would use a man of God, although He has become carnal in his motives. A similar event was when God allowed the water to flow out of the rock, although Moses was asked to speak to the rock, out of anger, he hit the rock. God gave the water but was not pleased with Moses. Num 20: 8-14.

We continue with our thoughts on the coaching role of the Holy Spirit. We have to be very much aware of His presence. Be ready for His promptings. When your worship is not focused on the Lord and His magnificence, the Spirit will make you aware. When your prayer moments are also not focused on the Lord, He will prompt you. He would tell you to pray further on certain issues. Your confidence in Him will become stronger as you grow in knowing Him, and doing what He tells you. One thing the Spirit will do for you is to turn your focus from yourself to Jesus. It is Jesus’ glory and not your glory.

CONFESSION

The Holy Spirit is my coach, training to become like my master Jesus. I submit to every instruction of His and allow Him to reveal Jesus to me in various ways. My confidence grows stronger in the Lord, as I get to know Him, more and more.
