WHOSE PLANTING ARE YOU, GOD OR SATAN?

KEY SCRIPTURE: Matt 13:37 38 KJV” He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;”

The Lord’s disciples asked for the explanation of the parable of the enemy who sowed tares after the good seeds had been planted. The Lord said He is the one who planted the good seeds, who are Children of God, and the devil came to plant tares, those who are the devil’s children. The serious part is that, these people of the devil are right among the people of God. This poses a rather thought-provoking question. Whose planting, are you? The Lord said by their fruits you shall know them.  Among the disciples of Jesus, was one who was planted by the devil. The Lord called him the son of perdition. Can a son of perdition change his ultimate destination? Satan never created any man; he only influences people. Every man has a free will and can make a choice to change his status.

What are the signs of a man planted by the devil? We could see the signs in Judas.

1. Judas was earthly minded. Everyone planted by the devil is earthly minded.

2. Judas was only concerned about how to get money. People planted by the devil are only concerned about getting money, fame, pleasure and many more. Judas had no passion for heavenly things, getting souls saved, giving for the saving of souls.

3.Judas was a thief. John 12:6. These children of the devil in the church practice evil things. They steal, fornicate, tell lies, slander fellow Christians.

4.Judas was so committed to having money such that he betrayed the Lord Jesus. The children of the devil are so committed to obtaining earthly things such that, they are prepared to tarnish the image of God and His church to obtain what they are longing to get. There are some who stage manage miracles to make money.  Some are Pastors, ushers, elders, prayer warriors, instrumentalists, choristers and many more.

The Lord said, on the judgment day, those who have been planted by the devil, will be SEPERATED from the children of God, and will be cast into the lake of fire. If such a person dies now without repenting from his or her crooked ways, he will be taken to hell awaiting the final judgment, where he together with hell will be cast into the lake of fire. (Rev 20:14)

What should one do, if he finds himself in such a lifestyle? Please remember that, Satan never created any man. Satan influences people to do wrong. Please ask the Lord to forgive you of that carnal life and repent from that life. Commit yourself to pleasing Jesus.

CONFESSION

I am a planting of the Lord. I give no place to any influence of the devil. I yield my desires to pleasing Jesus always.

Romans 6:16 (KJV). “Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?”

Romans 8 (KJV). For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

FROM LEAST TO THE GREATEST

KEY SCRIPTURE: Matthew 13:32 KJV “Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.”

The Lord Jesus gave another parable, saying that, the kingdom of God can be likened to a man who planted a grain of mustard SEED in his field, which happened to be the least among all seeds but when it is planted becomes the greatest. The Lord is revealing the potency of the supernatural. He said the mustard seed referring to that which comes from God. Everything from God is least or may be insignificant to men. Within everything born of God is a conquering ability. “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” -1 John 5:4 (KJV). This is the revelation of scripture, and every child of God must be very confident about the instructions of scripture. No matter how insignificant a scripture may appear, it has the potential to put you on top. “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;”— 1 Corinthians 1:27 (KJV)

The Lord said the seed was the least, yet it became the greatest. God takes what men consider least, weak to always overcome the mighty. Never despise the ways of God because it will normally not be appealing to what most men acknowledge as advantageous or prestigious. The requirement is to plant the word or to believe in what God says. It will grow in you and make you a blessing. “And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.”— Acts 20:32 (KJV) The word of God builds you up gives you your inheritance. Do not worry about your present status, just keep feeding on the word, you will be that blessed one, to bless many.

THIS parable can also be referred to the establishment of the church of God on the earth. It started solely with the Lord Himself, who started winning men and women. It has grown to become the largest religious body on the earth today. As the Lord said in His parable, it has become a resting place for many wandering birds. The Lord never lifted a sword or a gun, yet His church has taken over so many lands and people. Europe as at now seem to have fallen away from the dominion of the church. This is a fulfillment of the end time prophecy about the revival of the old Roman empire. The gospel will still make impact in Europe through Africa ‘ who were benefactors of the gospel from Europe

PRAYER

Lord Light up the fire and impact of the gospel in Europe. Let there be a reawakening of your power and a mass conversion of the Europe.

TARES AMONG GOOD PLANTS

KEY SCRIPTURE: Matthew 13 (KJV)”-Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.”

In our last study we looked at the parable of the tares among the good plants considering the literal meaning as the Lord stated it. We would now consider the parable making special inferences, or deductions this time.

The scripture said after the good seed s had been sown, an enemy came and sowed tares, ‘whiles men slept’. What does whiles men slept tell us?

Sleeping Is primarily an activity of the night. The night also symbolizes darkness. Figuratively sleeping can mean activity of darkness. What are the activities of darkness? “The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.” – Romans 13:12 (KJV) The works of darkness are sinful ways. All forms of neglect of spiritual activities is sleeping in a form. If the child of God neglects his prayer times, Bible study moments and absent himself from fellowships. All these can be described as sleeping. The worse part of this is when the person does things contrary to God’s word. If he lives a sinful life of any kind then he is not only sleeping but courting with death. The enemy will freely sow any kind of seed in such a one’s life. There are certain diseases that some brethren have just come to realize in their life. Some have been awakened to some fatal calamities, because they were ‘sleeping’

Another type of sleeping that allows the enemy to sow trouble in some believers’ life is physically sleeping without rising up to pray. The night time is a moment when the wicked execute their plans and programs. One must be awake at certain nights to pray. Apostle Paul states in 2nd Corinth. 11:27,”……in watchings often…….” This meant he spent time praying throughout certain nights. There are certain periods in one’s life that calls for keeping a prayer watch, less the enemy would take an advantage of you.

In 1 kings 3:16-27, two women brought a child to king Solomon, whiles both women, claimed the baby was theirs. One said she slept and her baby was snatched away. Spiritual destinies, people’s ‘babies’ of any kind have been exchanged at the hour of sleep. This study calls for spiritual alertness in every form. One must be very diligent with the word of God in every way. Our best way to be alert and not to be ‘sleeping’ is to respond positively to God’s word always. Any moment you enter into ‘sleep’ an enemy would sow tares. Make sure your response to God’s word is intact. Give no place to fear or unbelieve, they are all forms of sleeping. Faith in God’s word, is the surest way to keep awake all the time

CONFESSION

I am not ignorant of the devices of the enemy. I stay awake through my diligence in prayer, obedience to God, and finally my total trust in Him. I give no place to the enemy to have an advantage of me.

FURTHER STUDIES

1 Thess 5:17 KJV” Pray without ceasing.”

TARES AMONG GOOD SEEDS

KEY SCRIPTURE: Matthew 13:24-25 (KJV). “Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:  But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way”.

The Lord Jesus gave a parable about a man who planted good seeds, yet when men slept or when he slept, an enemy came and planted tares. The literal meaning of this parable is about Satan’s children who have mixed up with the true children of God. There are other Interpretations to this parable, yet we would consider the literal interpretation for now. Among the saints of God is a mixed multitude. This mixed multitude is what the Lord calls tares This mixed multitude in the time of Israel’s departure from Egypt, had some, who joined them to go. These were not Israelites. “And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.”

  — Exodus 12:38 (KJV). This mixed multitude caused a lot of havoc, because they had no circumcised hearts. These people influenced Israel to act contrary to the word and way of God.

Apostle Jude also makes mention of certain men who have ‘ crept in unawares.’ “For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.”— Jude 1:4 (KJV). The real danger posed by some of these people is that some gain influential positions, like Pastors, prophets and heads of ministries. They draw away even some of the righteous ones, by their erroneous doctrines. Apostle Jude specifically mentioned about what they teach about the grace of God. They turn it into lasciviousness. This causes some brethren to live carnally yet they justify it that, the grace of God will overlook all these things. This is rather unfortunate. God’s grace has rather come to perfect the people of God. The grace of God sets a higher standard for us to fulfill. The grace of God is never a license to sin. Some of such teachers are the planting of the devil.

In the presentation of that parable, the Lord said, he would not stop or destroy such men whom Satan has planted before the judgment time. He would wait till the judgment time. Dear reader, have you been planted by the Lord, or it is Satan the enemy who planted you? You can know your master by who you are living for. Are you living for yourself or living for Jesus? What kind of fruits do you produce? Is it the works of the flesh, or the fruits of the Holy Spirit? One last question to help you discover whether you are a planting of Jesus or Satan, is whether you are ready for Jesus coming any day? If you are joyful about Jesus coming today, then you are one of Christ planting. If you are afraid of Jesus coming today, then you might be a planting of the enemy. You can change your status today by repenting from your error to surrendering to Jesus.

CONFESSION

I am the planting of the Lord. I live for the cause of Christ, The grace of God has enabled me to live upright always. I live in anticipation of the coming of the Lord Jesus.

THE PARABLE OF THE SOWER EXPLAINED 6

KEY SCRIPTURE— Matthew 13:23 (KJV).“But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”

The Lord gives the final explanation about the type of heart that received the seed. He calls it the good heart. He said this heart understands the word, keeps the word, and it bears fruits. This man believes in the word even in challenging times. It therefore bears fruit. Every seed has the potential to bear fruits, so long as it is kept in the soil. “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”— Isaiah 55:11 (KJV)

This verse and our Lord’s explanation about the good soil or heart, shows us how miracles may be seen daily in our lives. It shows us that miracles are a product of the word in our hearts. In times of trials, one should not in any way give attention to the situation. A farmer who has planted seeds never worries in the moment of hunger. He focuses on the seed planted. He keeps watering the seed till it grows and he harvests the fruits. That brings an end to the hunger.

What is the problem at stake.? Is it a miracle for health challenge, or a need in your son, or any problem of any kind, the solution is in the seed in your heart? Just make sure the seed is in your heart. This means, let the word remain in your heart. Consider the following scriptural explanation. Proverbs 4:20-22 (KJV). ²⁰ My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. ²¹ Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. ²² For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. The word in you, and your subsequent faith in it, would bring you the miracle. What happens to most people in trying moments is that, they look at the severity of the challenge and then begins to fear. Fear means one has forsaken the word to put faith in the word of the enemy.

Dear child of God, in the day of crisis watch over your heart, and give no place to any word of failure or thought which is contrary to what God says. Rejoice in the assurance of the word, knowing that if God’s word is in your heart, then you have your miracle. No matter the level of the opposition, the word in your heart cannot fail to yield fruit. “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” — Numbers 23:19 (KJV). In every situation, there are two voices or words that you have to make a choice to believe. The voice or word of the situation, and the voice or word of God. Choose God’s word and let the word create that miracle you need.

CONFESSION

The word of God is life and healing in all situations, I focus on the word. My heart is always full of praise for the word is sure. With God’s Word in my heart, I have my answer in my hands.

THE PARABLE OF THE SOWER EXPLAINED 5

KEY SCRIPTURE: Mark 4:19 KJV “And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful”.

In our discussions of the thorns that prevents the word from being fruitful, we have looked at

1The cares of this life

2. The deceitfulness of riches.

We now consider the lust of other things.

Man after the fall was no longer led by the Spirit of God. He was led by his senses. The flesh which is the master of the senses has become the real center of influence in the affairs of men. Apostle Peter states that those who are controlled by the word have escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust

(2 Peter 1:4). Lust therefore is a very strong competitor with God’s word to control a man’s life.

Gal 5:17 KJV” For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.”. The flesh includes the natural instincts, the human faculties of reason, the sight, smell, touch, taste and hearing. They compete with the Spirit to control men.

Out of the flesh, do we have what the scriptures talked about the works of the flesh. Gal 5:19 KJV “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies”,. The Lord said when a man gives in to any of these things it chokes the word and makes the word ineffective.

God’s word has a supernatural effect on our whole being. Our physical bodies under the total control of the word receives a supernatural lift. The scripture describes it as partaking of the divine nature, through a response and a dependance on the exceeding great and precious promises. Apostle Paul also describes it as being transformed by the renewing of our minds. (Romans 12:2).

The Christian is not called to live in the natural fleshly plain. Rom 8:9 KJV” But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.”. The Lord taught that when a man is born again, he is like the wind, breaking natural limitations. (John 3:8). All these are made possible as we are led by the word of God. Decide to be doggedly committed to the dictates of God’s word. You will escape the corruption in this world.

CONFESSION

I live in the realm of God’s word. That is the world of the supernatural realm of God. I am aware of the failure of living by the senses, and so I do not give any place to my senses to lead or control me. By the word I have escaped the corruption in the world. I reign in this life by the power of the word.

THE PARABLE OF THE SOWER EXPLAINED 4

KEY SCRIPTURE: Matthew 13:22 (KJV). “He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.”

In our last study we learnt that among the thorns that choke the word of God, in the hearts of men from bearing fruit, is the deceitfulness of riches. According to the scriptures God’s intention for His children, is that all things might be well with them. This is clearly seen in the creation of the man. God made available everything that makes life comfortable for man. God has not changed in His original intent for humanity. Unfortunately, most people choose, not to trust in God for His counsel and blessing when it comes to money. They tend to serve money. “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”

  — Matthew 6:24 (KJV). The Lord said it is impossible to serve God and money simultaneously, yet many are trying to do it. The end is that it chokes the word and makes it ineffective.

The Lord said those who allow the crave for riches to deceive them cannot bear fruit. They pierce themselves with many sorrows. “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” — 1 Timothy 6:10 (KJV).   The above verse also establishes the point that lust for money deceives one from the faith. This has led many to do various hurtful and harmful things to one another. Some have grown very cold towards God and His work. Certain Pastors in their bid to obtain riches consult fetishes for power.

Dear one, don’t be deceived by the crave for riches. A man’s life does not consist in the abundance of riches. Luke 12:15. The word of God, although very potent cannot stand the competitions with other things initiated by the flesh. When the heart migrates more towards anything other than God, the heart of man loses its ability to trust in God. It is the presence of the word in one’s heart and its influence on that individual that makes the person take a strong hold of God. A heart overtaken by love for riches, will lose the influence of God’s word on it. Give no ground to anything to compete for your heart.

CONFESSION

My Father God gives me power to be rich, I therefore do not allow any lust for money to take over my heart.

Habakkuk 2:9 (KJV). “Woe to him that coveteth an evil covetousness to his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of evil!”

THE PARABLE OF THE SOWER EXPLAINED 3

KEY SCRIPTURE: Matthew 13:22 (KJV). “He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.”

The Lord explained about the seeds that fell among the thorns. He said, when the seeds grew among     the thorns, it choked the plant. The seed could not bear fruit. Mark in his recording of the gospel, wrote it this way, “And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.”  — Mark 4:19 (KJV) He described three things that choke the word.

They are;

1 The cares of this world

2.The deceitfulness of riches

3.The lust of other things.

These things choke the word or seed and make it ineffective to bring forth fruits.

The first on the list is about the cares of this life. Every man, no matter his status in this life, will always have a need or a want at a point in time. There may be some challenges of life to confront. Some could be life threatening. In all these the Lord says cast all your cares upon Him. “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”  — 1 Peter 5:7 (KJV).

It is not the role of any child of God to be careful or anxious about anything. “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”

  — Philippians 4:6 (KJV). To be anxious about anything, is to turn away from the word of God.

Please get this mystery which humanity has missed since the fall of man. The whole earth, must be filled with the glory of God all the time. Do you remember Jesus asked us to pray that God’s will be done on earth, as it is in heaven? (Matthew 6:10) Creation is to continually manifest God’s glory. “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”  — Revelation 4:11 (KJV).

God’s glory is manifested by the agency of His word. When men yield to His word, do His word, HIS glory is revealed on the earth. “Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?” — John 11:40 (KJV). We see His glory when we believe His word. To be careful and anxious is doing what keeps His glory away. This is one of the worse things any man could do to himself or herself.

Jesus said when men care about the things of this life it makes the word of no effect. It chokes the word. The word does not bear fruit. Note the word bearing fruit in you is what is known as the glory of God.

CONFESSION

The Lord is my shepherd and I am careful about nothing. I trust Him all the way, and His glory is revealed in me. I am full of praise for Him and joy in Him, because He leads me all the way. Thank you, Lord Jesus.

THE PARABLE OF THE SOWER EXPLAINED 2

KEY SCRIPTURE: Matthew 13: 20-21 (KJV). But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

The Lord explains further the meaning of the parable of the sower. This time He talked about the seeds that fell on the rocky ground. LET me first explain the potential of the seed.  So long as the seed is alive, it contains the tree and the fruits. All it needs is a good soil to grow. The word of God as a seed has everything it talks about. It has peace, security, wealth, healing, wisdom, and all the provisions of redemption. If a man can keep the word in his heart, he will experience what the word talks about. When a man is hardened towards God in any way, he always receives the word, yet in times of trials, his true colors begin to manifest. He gets offended and fails to trust God through.

One of the main activities of the devil is to make the word ineffective in the life of the child of God. One of his means is to create a stony heart. Satan capitalizes on various circumstances to suggest falsehood, about God in order to harden men against God. The following are some of the ways people get hardened towards God.

1.  Hebrews 3:13 (KJV). Sinfulness of any kind hardens people. “But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.”

2.Some are hardened when their expectations are not met. Job 2:9

3 Pride causes people to be hardened towards God. Exodus 7:3

4 Wrong doctrine does harden people towards the truth.

5.When disappointed by the people of God, they can become hardened

HOW to be released from been hardened towards God or the truth.

1. One must repent of every sinful way and turn from that life.

2.Repent from every arrogance to God and His word.

3.Forgive all those who might have sinned or disappointed you in any way.

4.Search the truth about any wrong teachings you may be holding.

5.Every bitterness built in you towards God must be confessed and forsaken

Spend time praying and asking the Holy Spirit to expose every hidden stubbornness towards God

Satan attacks because of the word of God in you. so do everything to keep the word in your heart.

CONFESSION

My heart is not hardened towards the word of God. I refuse every sinful way, and proud attitude that can harden me towards God’s word. I celebrate God’s word by declaring it is always active no matter the supposed difficulties or challenges

PARABLE OF THE SOWER EXPLAINED 1

KEY SCRIPTURE:  — Matthew 13:18 (KJV). “Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.”

Please read Matthew 13:18-23)

The Lord Jesus explained the meaning of the parable of the sower to His disciples. He talked about the four kinds of hearts of men that receive the word of God.

These hearts are as follows

1.The wayside heart Matt 13:19

2. The Rocky heart Matt 13:20,21

3, The heart of thorns. Matt 13:22

4 The good heart Matt 13:23

HE first explained about the wayside heart.

“When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.”

  — Matthew 13:19 (KJV). He taught that when a man hears the word and does not understand it, the enemy comes for that word. What are the causes of lack of understanding of the word received?

1.One may not understand the word if he does not give attention to the word.

2.When one does not value the word of God, he may not understand it

3.Lack of Prayerful preparation before receiving the word.

4. A worldly minded Christian cannot easily understand the scriptures.

There are certain conditions that make people not to be attentive to the scriptures;

1. A mind that is worried about life issues can’t be attentive enough to be able to understand the message.

2 Browsing the mobile phone when the message is preached.

3.If the message is not explanatory enough the receiver may not understand it. .

4. One whose attention is drawn unto other things in the church hall and not on the message

5 Some lose the message because of lack of focus.

6.Many people lose the message immediately church closes and they start chatting with friends.

What must one do in order not to lose the word of God?

1 Convince yourself about the exceedingly importance of the word of God. Heb 4:12, Isa 55:11, Prov 4:13

2. Put away anything that will take your attention when the word is preached.

3. Stop using your mobile phone as a Bible in Church, if you can’t control the temptation to browse and watch other things (In church put it on airplane mode)

4.Record the message in church and play it over and over again, till your heart is saturated with it.

5.Make notes of the message and take time to study it at home.

6. Practice the word

Satan can’t steal the word you give attention to.

CONFESSION
